In reality though more people could learn from that line. If more people had the humility to understand how little information they know in the grand scheme, then maybe I could actually open the comments on reddit without siding with thanos
@I Am Captain Obvious, #ThanosDidNothingWrong
@I Am Captain Obvious, there are known knowns, there are known unknowns, and there are unknown unknowns.
Its not that hard to find out which of these make up the majority
@I Am Captain Obvious, isn't their a direct correlation with confidence and amount of knowledge? Many people who know little are overly confident because they don't grasp how little they know about a subject whereas people with a lot of knowledge understand how much they lack.
@I Am Captain Obvious, reddit comments make you side with thanos in infinity war. Tumblr makes you side with thanos in endgame
@I Am Captain Obvious, Dunning-Kruger effect. The idiots claim to know it all. The geniuses are sickened by how little they will ever understand.
@I Am Captain Obvious, can’t relate. Am engineer therefore I know everything.
@ARGluck, it’s a dicey correlation because you can get around but in general there is. For instance in the navy we actively trained false confidence in academic settings. We sit for oral boards and such so we train guys to say it with your chest and no hesitation and the guy may not catch it or even know it’s wrong. But if you hem and haw he’s gonna call you out. So false confidence can get you where we need you to get even if you’re barely outsmarting that pencil sharpener over there
"This is why no one talks to you, Diogenes."
"...Oh I'm sorry, I thought you were going to waste several moments of my life explaining to me how you are 'No One.'"
Is that you Jon Snow?
You can that it’s a tree because of the way it is.
Gonna be honest that would be me but I’d be a lot more sarcastic because symbolism is bs the raven is just a raven
@eleven, I once heard someone say that they don’t believe in odds. That was just slightly dumber than saying symbolism is bs. The fact that some people, for humors sake it is usually English teachers, try to find symbolism in things that are just what they are doesn’t mean that symbolism doesn’t exist at all. Many many artists of all types, whether writers or painters or sculptors, use symbolism a great deal.
@Mkb617, it seems you misunderstood me symbolism does exist and I hate it metaphors too I am very literal minded meaning I don’t waste my time looking for extra meaning where there shouldn’t be any if the author tells me they like the color black then that’s what I hear nothing else
And here is the lighter. Just don't forget to pass.
As the great Jesse Michaels once said, all I know is that I dont know nothing!
Michael J. Caboose; never, ever change.
That’s us, dude.
