Uhm.. Ang... uh Apo?
“You aren’t in Kansas anymore, you’re on Pandora! Everything that runs, flies, or squats in the mud wants to kill you and eat your eyes for Jujubes. After a stint on Pandora you’ll want to go to hell for some R&R.”
Don’t remember his name but I always enjoyed his speech.
@TheColossalTitan, sounds like the colonel
@TheColossalTitan, Pappa Dragon
“You are like baby. Always making noise. Don’t know what to do.”
Well yeah my dumbass thought it was going to be about the last air bender
Jake Sully and Natiri. "I was a marine...a warrior...of the uhh Jarhead clan."
Literally the only line I can fully remember is "I see you"
@jouze, No that's Sauron saying "I love you" in Na'vi
@jouze, That, and “*hiss*”, when the colonel makes fun of the main guy for being more Na’vi than human
It’s “Dances with Wolves” on alien planet.
The reason it left so little a mark on the world is because the planet already watched this movie when it was called Fern Gully.
The white guy. Ripley. Hot blue chick.
I always found it surprising that a lot of audiences didn't like Avatar saying it was a ripoff of Pocahontas and Dances With Wolves, yet when The Force Awakens did the same thing with A New Hope suddenly most people were ok with that
It's because literaly almost everyone saw it in 3d, which those tickets cost about twice as much
@sneskid, also because it started the 3D craze. It was one of the first films that was meant for 3D without it being overly cheesy with animation for 3D effects.
I think part of it’s problem was that it had no sequels. Usually successful movies will have follow-up installments to keep it relevant so it becomes engrained in people’s minds
@TriangleTesticles, I thought it was more that the plot was incredibly dull and familiar, so people remembered the beautiful world but held no attachment to the characters
@TriangleTesticles, there's about three or four sequels currently being made, and the first is set to be released next year (provided it doesn't get delayed again)
“This is Papa Dragon”
"I see you" something main character said to blue lady
“Shut up and fly straight!”
"Don't touch that"
"You're not in Kansas anymore. You're on Pandora"
Navi. No wait that was the race not a character
Jake sully and neitiri or however you spell her name
Unobtaininum.... something something
(Took me a bit to realize which Avatar) I actually watched this movie for the first time last week.
Jake sully, Giovani Ribisi
Jake Sull!y (shoutout to those two AMAZING funhaus episodes)
"I see you..."
Avatar in dome imax was fvcking amazing, it’s the only time I ever saw the movie, and I doubt it’d stand up on anything else.
Pandora at Disney world is an entire world created like the pretty effects in the movie, which is the only thing I remember anyway about said movie.
ICU and Zoe Saldana.
You mean Pocahontas in Space With Blue People?
“I’m gonna have hair sex with every living thing on this planet.”
“Don’t play with that, you’ll go blind”
I saw this in imax 3D and honestly it was breathtaking. But even as I was talking about how incredible it was I knew that it wouldn’t come anywhere close to being significant in any other format. I haven’t seen it again since. I think this is probably a pretty common experience.
"Now Jake Sully, we are mated for life"
Ain't that the movie with the people and the machines and the other people and there a tree and the people are blue, right? Yeah, I totally remember that one.
