If it was his right arm that he lost then why is the prosthetic a left arm?

@Zack Fair, I was thinking the same thing. Maybe it's a mirrored image of the arm for some odd reason.

@mas2de, after a little googling, the hand shown is just another hand from later that century. Gotz lost his hand in 1503 at 23 y.o. His first hand was made in 1504. He later got a better upgrade shown in pictures as being from 1514. Much better documented as his and clasps around his forearm. The hand shown here is someone else's from ~1580. Gotz would've been around 100 and this is definitely a left hand. Not just a mirrored image. It's prettier than Gotz's so that's likely why it's pictured more often.

@mas2de, was just about to say the actual hand Götz used was a lot more plated(?) Than the intricate design shown here and covered most of his forearm whereas this one is clearly the wrong one. Doesnt take away from the fact that the mans a legend just this ain't HIS prosthetic.
