@Here Comes Treble, while I want to agree with you, I think its important to remember that a child's behavior is largely nature over nurture. Meaning that the parenting has minimal affects, behavior is mostly genetic. I agree that this parent wasn't doing jack to stop this little demon, but I just feel the need to play devil's advocate. Sorry for the long comment. Have a lovely day.

@Whatssofunny, I'm afraid my AP Psych textbook I've been studying for the past year is not online. But I will present a link to an article which discusses twins separated at birth. Identical twins raised in different environments behave far more alike than fraternal twins raised in the same house. That is an excellent example of how nature has more of an effect than nurture. I probably shouldn't have said "minimal effects" and true that I'm not sure how much aggression is affected by it. But I know that as time goes on, the offspring starts behaving almost exactly like their parents (their little quirks, how much they drink, aggression, etc). Is this always true? No. Is it what most researchers have concluded, yes. But the nature vs. nurture debate is still ever present. This has been a very long message so I apologize sincerely for wasting your time. I'll leave you the link. Have a wonderful day(: http://m.livescience.com/47288-twin-study-importance-of-genetics.html

@normally weird, twins are completely different than regular kids or even fraternal twins. I have 4 children and they were raised to not act like this and to always be respectful. My kids went to school with children who were taught that all they had to do was sick mom and dad on any problem and the problem would magically disappear. This is bull. These same kids are now screwed up because of this. If this was my child ramming his cart like this on someone, you can be damn sure the cart would be taken away and the child would be punished. Immediately. Reading up on this is a whole different world than raising a child. I'm not trying to be mean it just makes me mad when it seems like people are trying to excuse this behavior.

@RevNateBootylove, normally I would agree, but this seemed like a situation he should have just let it go. The reaction seems a bit excessive. This kid will feel sticky all the way home and potentially mess up the car and his clothes now need to be washed... All for 3 bumps to the shin from a kid cart
I hate kids like this
