The new record drive from New York to LA is 26 hours... I wish I had the cojones to use all my speedometer to attempt it
Not to be a funny pooper (tho just imagine being able to poop funnies) but didn’t they recently put a speed limit because people kept dying?
@Bad Suggestions, Don’t know, ask Steve. WAIT. Where’s Steve. Steve?! Steeeve?!
@Bad Suggestions, I lived in Germany a little while and my friends all said it was a myth. I saw speed limits on all roads, except for the rare straight stretches of highway where there wasnt one. This was in Bavaria (a state in southern Germany) so I don't know if it's country wide or not
@Bad Suggestions, some toll roads charge for your average speed. The higher the speed, the higher the toll. When we drove the autobahns, we were doing 130mph as a groups of 10, but we stopped at the services for 45 minutes to get our recorded average speed down to 70mph.
Germany's biggest automobile club are now'not opposed' to enforced speed limits, as the UK and Switzerland's roads are far safer than Germany's. As always, it not entirely speed that kills, it the difference in speed that vehicles travel at. Obviously, when something goes wrong, it goes wrong on an entirely new scale at 120 rather than 70
@CRIZZLE290, rip Steve, loves forever and almost forgotten
@Strawberry Milk, currently living in Germany. Autobahn still has their sections without a speed limit. They did impose a new law though that if there is a speed limit posted and you're caught speeding, in the city 20 over and highway like 25 over, you can lose your license. Also, I got a camera ticket for going 7kph over....30 euros.
@GrandpaScoozy, Don’t write such things.
But only for like 5 miles until you are stuck behind a slow moving truck.
