@xxTrashBoatxx, Can I just have some stock options, or profit sharing please?
I work for Aldi. I gotta say. Those Germans really know how to treat you like a human and not a number
(That wasnt sarcasm)
@Codeine, that’s awesome to hear. I moved from MA to NY and I miss my old supermarket. Market Basket had an excellent reputation for paying an actual living wage as well as giving jobs to lots of people in the community. They did this all while staying way cheaper than most of the other grocery stores.
@Codeine, really? I shop at Aldi for most of my groceries, but it really looks like the employees can never catch a break. Like they’re constantly undermanned.
@WhoseLineIsItAnyway, it depends on the store. Right now we are and it's annoying because the shelves are never done so stocking in the morning takes longer.
And it's true we never catch a break. But we never work more than 3 hours without a 30 minute break.
Like every now and then I want to neck. But overall its a good job to have. Especially while I'm studying
Do I have to say it again, the company pays sh1t wages because you guys keep working for sh1t wages, take a stand
@butternut squash, if you dont strive for the top. You'll always be eating what's left on the bottom.
That’s how I feel about “family owned” businesses
Big company: Lowers everybodies pay.
Lemmings: That's not fair!
Big company: Well you can also wear Jean's now instead of slacks.
Lemmings: Hooray we love you!
@spongeblade, I don't know a single person that ever reacted like that. We know when we're getting screwed
@Davrial, not everybody for sure. But that's pretty much what happened at my job.
I work for a municipal government and at the lawmaker/mayoral level im a number but to my departmental chain of command its pretty damn good
This is my job to a T.. oof
