Put all the Pokémon in the game
its 40% of a pokemon game
I'm still gonna buy them and enjoy them
I don’t think the company is losing sleep over it
I mean, I guess if it's all consolidated into one pokedex it's not a big deal
@Simetricwl , no national Pokedex means not all Pokemon will be in the game.
@Scarlet Pumpernickel, oh. Well that sucks
@Simetricwl , to elaborate on what scarlet pumpernickel said: no you will not be able to transfer Pokémon (through the new system Pokémon Home, coming out in February) to Sword/Shield unless they are in the regional Pokédex. They are saying this will be the new policy going forward for all main series Pokémon games from now on because it “wasn’t feasible to add every Pokémon to the game since the Switch is such a powerful console”.
Basically they are citing that with less Pokémon added to the games they can put more work into animations, graphics, and balance. Yet have not shown actual proof that any of those things have been improved upon.
@nemestrinus , also, saying that it's less feasible to add more pokemon because the console is more powerful is like a sub shop saying it's less feasible to make a bigger sandwich when they have longer bread.
@Marida Cruz, Right if Sun and moon can look just as good and they can fit all the pokemon, they should have no problem programming every pokemon into the switch.
@nemestrinus , basically, game freak is just incompetent. And it looks like they’ve been focusing more on little town hero than Pokémon (the literal money printer). Which is why I agree with the boycott, they need to be shown that people won’t just buy anything they make that is Pokémon related. But with all these people saying that they’re still going to buy it and that it’s still going to be good... GF is just going to keep going in the same direction they’re already going
@Toxia, Yeah, but should the consumer really have that much power over a companies decisions? What's it gonna teach newer generations? If you whine enough and act entitled you'll get your way eventually. This puts more focus on learning and appreciating the pokemon from the new region. This is how people turn into conservatives, never accepting change.
@Shodai Hokage, the consumer always has had that much power, if they don’t like the product, they don’t buy the product. If GF were to listen to their fans like Nintendo and Daemon X Machina have recently, then there wouldn’t be a problem to begin with. And most aren’t whining, they’re trying to get GF to acknowledge that the fans aren’t happy about this. Sure, there have been a few outliers, like that one person who attempted to accuse GF’s director of sexual harassment but the majority has been civil. And why should people accept change, especially when the change is stupid and unreasonable? The switch is far more powerful than the 3ds and all the Pokémon games on it had all existing Pokémon available at the time, there’s no reason that what should be the biggest Pokémon game ever can’t have the same. Especially since all pre existing Pokémon models were future proofed back in XY.
