Holy f**k you can’t just say these things, nobody likes to acknowledge the fact that men can be harmed, and the fact that even if they came forward 0% of cases can be convicted or that men have any kind of social pressure that’s just ridiculous, haven’t you heard of the complete patriarchy?
@Not A Wolf, question: I see often “drunk consent isn’t consent” and it’s always directed to some guy taking advantage of a drunk woman and they will go on to classify that as rape, but if he was drinking too wouldn’t she be guilty of raping him as well? By that logic anyway.
@Richard Cypher, shhhh you ask too many questions
@Not A Wolf, speaking as a female:
Sex or sexual contact without consent is rape or assault, period. It doesn't matter who the perpetrator is or who the victim is. If the victim cannot provide consent due to lack of sobriety, significant mental deficiency that makes someone unable to understand what is being asked, age, or any other reason... It is rape or sexual assault.
A common misconception is to assume that a person's body responding means they are enjoying themselves and consenting. Male and female bodies are capable of responding physically to an assault, even if they are unwilling or unable to provide clear consent.
@Not A Wolf, if a man murders a woman, he receives a harsher sentence than if a woman murders a man. Not a patriarchy.
@Richard Cypher, of course not cause that would just make sense what world do u think we live in
@2014purpleribbon, exactly if I beat a woman and hold her down and force myself on her even if she has an orgasm that’s still 1000% rape but for some reason it’s just more difficult when it comes to women taking advantage of men they say well if he didn’t want it then he wouldn’t have gotten an erection and again that’s just bs
@I Are Lebo, I feel like I haven’t debated u in awhile so here we go you’re not just wrong you’re stupid let’s see u come back from that massively intellectual response
@sgc6610, the only person who is harmed by a grudge is the person holding it.
@Richard Cypher, from what I understand, if both parties are drunk then they can in fact give consent to each other. However, if one isn’t drunk and the other is, then it can be classified as rape.
@Richard Cypher, edit: redacted
@Richard Cypher, If they’re both drunk but both are still aware enough to participate/contribute/react/speak. Not rape. Both drunk but one party is barely conscious/unconscious, unaware of surroundings, unable to actively participate and/or give clear consent. The party who carried on anyways is guilty of rape.
@Trevthemighty, yeah, stop thinking so hard, Rich
A Group of chicks can easily rape someone
@Elmato, just one can. Its called a roofie, or just getting a dude really drunk.
@Elmato, roofies work both ways too. Also a man could easily rape a man.
Really it’s just stupid that it ever got this way but I guess that’s clown world for ya.
@Toxia, "no guy would deny free sex from women" and "ha, you got raped by a chick, that doesn't happen, now get out while I make fun of you publicly"
@Elmato, seriously don’t know how this ever became something anyone would believe. How many men are there that have been traumatized and will never get justice? It’s just horrible.
@Elmato, when I was uhhh, a dancer one of my homosexual co-workers had this happen to him in the parking garage after work we had to have security walk everyone to their cars and stuff every night afterwards.
Women are FAR more aggressive in such environments trust someone who’s worked in them for a decade.
@Not A Wolf, I know someone who was nearly raped, he was pulled into a car with a bunch of women who held him down. Luckily someone saw the commotion and saved my friend
@Elmato, At first I thought you said a group of chickens, and I was thinking, “In what situation does that happen?”
@BlazingBowman, Or threatening to say he raped her.
@Not A Wolf, men typically r more capable of protecting themselves but it could still happen I’m not that big I’m only about 5’7” around 160 so even though I can hold my own sometimes u need an equalizer thats y I always carry a blade or something and I think everyone should and know how to use it especially women but even still there’s no guarantee of safety in this messed up world and it’s a shame
@Elmato, we were partying at a friends house one night and one of my friends disappeared the next day I found out he woke up naked in someone’s car (no idea who’s) and he was covered in scratches to this day I have no idea what happened and he said he don’t remember either idk if that’s true or not but I hope for his sake it’s not what it looks like
@sgc6610, if a woman assaults a man and he defends himself that is illegal(most states) and you will be taken to jail, if a female is trying to force themselves on you physically you can’t even push them roughly, also it’s usually more the fear of social backlash or seeming “un-manly” or a too intoxicated to say no situation.
A male-male Rape can be defended against physically but no aggressor EVER targets someone they don’t think they can easily over power.
Story time: Can speak from experience. When I was a sophomore I got belligerently drunk at a friend’s party and at the behest of a crowd of drunken people cheering on the three girls on the porch and me being too socially awkward to say no, I made out with a girl I wasn’t into. She was ok-cute even if she was chubby but I didn’t actually want anything to do with her, I just didn’t want her to be the only senior girl that didn’t have a guy at that spur of the moment and I already had a girl I was into. Anyways I try to crash in my friends bed and wake up to this girl trying to take my clothes off and make out with me and I just say no, I have a girl, showed her the pic, and said I’m going to sleep. Woke up to the same thing with her on top of me not 10 minutes later and I had to literally push her off me, go downstairs, and keep myself awake so I wouldn’t be fvcked in my sleep. Keep in mind that before this, I had to literally be carried to the bed because I couldn’t walk up the stairs
@A Flying Panda, the scariest part of that is the fact that if she got mad enough she coulda said u raped her and it would not be good for u and that is so fvcked up I firmly believe that if a woman claims raped and it’s proved that she lied she should get as much time as u woulda if u got convicted of rape or at least 2/3 the sentence
Speak of the devil, can we talk about that scene in Spider-Man: Far From Home when the adult stranger forcibly tells the scared, confused teenager to remove their clothes and it's treated as a joke?
@SimonPetrikov, I think that joke still goes over the palate better than some others. She wasn't asking him to step for sexual reasons, Just straight pragmatic, "you need to get into your disguise gear, and you've got 3 minutes to do so, take off your clothes"
@ Tobias Widower, I know that's the context, but the joke is that it LOOKS like an adult telling a confused teenager to take off their clothes. The next 10 minutes of the movie is drawing out the joke that the one guy thinks the interaction was sexual in nature.
@SimonPetrikov, I see nothing wrong with making a joke like that. I find the objection to be similar to how Thor was portrayed in Endgame. You can derive humour from an awkward or unpleasant situation without it being a dismissal of the seriousness of such situations.
Rape jokes aren’t rape support, and neither is exploiting how awkward Peter Parker is to engineer a scene to forward the plot.
@I Are Lebo, That's not the problem. The problem is that it's never viewed as possible sexual harassment. The movie acts like the occurrence is a completely okay thing to happen, and that if it WERE sexual in context, then Peter should feel guilty. It's not even a r*pe joke, it's a "boys are horn dogs" joke.
Also, Far From Home doesn't have the tone of a dark comedy, so r*pe jokes wouldn't work anyway.
*Hot girl rapes man*
"Ha what are you gay, it wouldnt be rape if it were me!"
*ugly girl rapes man*
"Bwahahaha! Look at what they did to this guy!"
*hot man rapes girl*
"Typical men abusing their power on women"
*ugly man rapes girl*
"Ugh all men are rapists and need to be taught not to rape!"
I just think of it like this.. you wouldn’t fvck every single girl in the world, right? It could be for numerous different reasons inside and out, but you wouldn’t. So what if one of those girls that you wouldn’t engage with tried to force herself on you. How would that make you feel? I’ve had to reject sex from girls while they’re literally ripping my clothes off, and it sometimes takes numerous no’s for them to listen. So, as hot as it may seem in concept, if you’re not into them then you’re not into them. Luckily I’ve never had it go any further than that without my consent, but I can only imagine how uncomfortable it would make me..
@Tyler643, oh look at mr irresistible women just can’t help themselves around u... I’m kidding but most ppl see that as u being an idiot for refusing sex from a girl literally tearing your clothes off when in reality it’s straight up attempted rape if u did that to her I guarantee you’d already be doing 10-15 right now
But I thought all men wanted it??
wow I’m actually in tears I’m so happy so many people were able to talk about their situations in this post I oc’d this awhile ago after I had some bad times and I guess making memes helped me through that even if I sucked at it I’m glad I actually helped in any way my discord is kqnb#5761 if anyone needs help and just wants to talk I’m here for you
What a lot of feminists don't seem to understand is that if a man is in charge of determining if a woman is drunk in a potentially sexual situation, then he is therefore morally obligated to determine the sobriety of any woman in any situation.
For instance, right now, I've determined that any woman disagreeing with this comment is obviously drunk and should therefore have her opinion discarded until she sobers up.
Also rape happens all the time in the gay community. Saying men can’t be raped is a slap in the face to gay men that have been raped. It’s something that’s extremely overlooked.
