This happened in Brazil...
@NickDubsky , shh... let them have this...
@NickDubsky , still happens here anyway. Just not publicized by the media for the fear of not being pc.
@The Pun Shielder, im just saying this specific one happened in Brazil. Self defense from guns happens every day in America and I love that people can protect themselves
@NickDubsky , It does it's just the media is very anti gun and the very thought that a weapon could be used for good is blasphemy to them
@The Pun Shielder, like that time the dude walked into a gun store by accident when going for a jewelry store heist. Was my favorite episode of 1000 ways to die .
@NickDubsky , I carry because even though I live in a decent neighborhood, it's been getting worse because of all the idiot heroin addicts. Also my work is in a really bad area. But I also go to the range often, and I never bring it with me if I'm going out someplace where I might drink.
@NickDubsky , no I understand. Just got a little bit of patriotism going in the old veins
@NickDubsky , I too am so tired of seeing this and people thinking was America
@Tentastic, no it’s simply due to the fact that more often than not bad news gets more attention than good news
@Not him again, I'm trying to get my conceal, but I'm waiting until I buy my first pistol before getting it. Any recommendations?
@NickDubsky , buy the sidearm you feel most comfortable with. If you live in an area where there is a range that rents guns try a few out. I personally prefer a 9mm but many folks like the 40 cal. Innovations in gunpowder tech and bullet design have opened up a lot of debate. The FBI just recently made the 9mm the standard issue from the 40 cal. Either way, carry the gun you can control best and feel most comfortable with. (This is in reference to conceal carry).
@NickDubsky , also, if you have freinds that are into firearms ask if you can go with them to the range and try theirs out. Pro tip, ALWAYS offer to pay for ammo; it can get expensive. At minimum offer to help out.
@NickDubsky , exactly what @Dudeliness said. I have a S&W 40, but its not what I carry bc its fvcking massive and heavy. My carry is a ruger lcp2, which is a .380. About the size of my palm, and much lighter. I would go with something like that or a compact 9mm. But please, PLEASE get used to whatever you get before you start carrying it. I've been shooting since I was about 8, maybe even younger, and I'm almost 32 now. But every gun is different, so you want to be very familiar with whatever you choose before you start carrying it.
@NickDubsky , (conceal carry) go to youtube and look up a guy called Paul Harrell he has some good information on concealed carry and isn't aggressive and in your face.
@Not him again, dude I was going to reference a 380 since it is such an easy to conceal and control round. I was at a gun store where the clerk was saying to a female customer that she needed to carry a .45 cal at minimum for stopping power and I thought, how on earth can she control that? I couldn’t on a good day; let alone the stress of a bad situation. I’m of the mind that if you feel comfortable with a .22 then that is what you carry. My wife has a hard time racking my sig 9mm but the .22 is easy for her.
@Dudeliness, the worker at the gun store was suggesting that she carried a 45? He should be fired. Nobody should use something that big as a ccw, because even if you do manage to hit your intended target, chances are you're gonna blow straight through them and hit whatever or whoever's behind them as well.
@ThatGuyx79, Really?!!! Hahaha, what a maroon!
Beautiful *sheds tear*
He's missing the cheeseburger stuffed in his mouth
@ TouchMyCatEars, oh we don’t shove them in his mouth...
Guns are dangerous
@benderama, so are cars
@mycatsanahole, not the same thing and that’s a stupid fûcking argument
@benderama, that is not a helpful counter argument. Pointing out the flaws, if any, in an argument is much more effective than disparaging it. Are you expecting your interlocutor to change his/her mind after reading your statement?
I did not take sides, I’m merely trying to encourage more productive interactions.
@benderama, everything is literally dangerous. It is the responsibility and duty for law abiding citizens to make sure they never become dangerous in the first place.
@farkleberry dumbbell, guns were invented to kill with, cars were not invented to kill with, it’s the intention that makes them bad and an evil invention
@benderama, This argument is far superior to your last statement. Your logical thought process will be much better received than non-constructive insults.
I am not engaging in this debate and will not comment on the subject at hand, but I am happy you chose to articulate a much more coherent and meaningful contribution.
@benderama, I’m amused that you went out of your way to find my one upload and downvote it. Did you find the fulfillment you were looking for in this pursuit?
Perhaps your sense of self is so fragile that even killing me would not satiate your thirst for feeling self-righteous and important. At least you won’t use a gun, you’ll probably use a TV cord to strangle me since it wasn’t made with bad intentions.
@benderama, yes, guns are dangerous and that’s why you carry one. If a criminal has one, they usually do, you want to be dangerous to them.
