@MMSieBreeze, with a cactus
@MMSieBreeze, and a rusted out iron bar!
nothing but fake news
@seeUpee, for measure, slather it in ghost pepper.
@MMSieBreeze, I saw a clip where cnn had a panel talking about how Biden is being portrayed poorly in the media and then had the audacity to say they couldn’t think of a single media outlet that shows trump in a bad light. I nearly spit my drink across the room
@Natural Sarcasm , Projecting their own biases is one of their favorite pastimes.
@Natural Sarcasm , it is a part part of game. The media is controlled. I saw a YouTube video that showed around 25 different news outlets repeating the exact same lines. Word for word. It’s like they all get the exact same transcript and are told to say them
@ThorOdinnson, a lot of media outlets are controlled by the same parent company, so I’m sure some of them truly are given the same script which has been approved through the parent company. Some sources do differ in wording, but a lot of media outlets also have no reason to change the script if what they’re reporting is all they know and they share the same sources. So realistically it’s not that unusual for news outlets to share a script if it’s truthful and all that is known at the time.
@Natural Sarcasm , when both are actually shown fairly accurately because they’re both the bottom of the barrel n every way possible
@ThorOdinnson, Sinclair Broadcast Group owns a ton of US channels and pushes must run segments that the local news hosts cannot change. Something like 200 channels. Not all news but many of them are local news networks. And I don't think Sinclair is the biggest one either. Could be wrong though.
@Natural Sarcasm , some hosts on some networks are either dumber than a box of rocks or they know exactly what they're saying/doing/promoting and are complete shjtbags for it. Fox (the big one with Hannity and Carlson and those jokers, not the little local ones) on one end and CNN on the other with anchors like whoever you saw. There are a lot of actually good reporters though in the media. Buuut there are also a ton of supercrap ones. *Glares at guy in front of "mostly peaceful protest" fire* IDK how they pick them, maybe it's by face and voice and not integrity. That's actually probably it.
Anyway, Trump dug his own grave from day one w.r.t. how he is portrayed in the media. Do shjtbag things, the media Should shine a light on it and say "this was a shjtbag thing to do." Not everything he says and does is bad/wrong, just most of it is for America as a country. But CNN should probably wipe their mouths off a bit. Though I guess the corporate Democrats like that look on them.
@MMSieBreeze, That's a lot of hate directed at a satirical news station. Not their fault a lot of their viewers think they're legitimate
It’s true we should thank REAL reporters that go out a do their jobs by being unbiased when reporting on events instead of making shjt up and trying to twist literally everything into anti trump rhetoric
I swear the reporters at cnn could stub their toe getting out of bed and find someway to blame the orange man
@Natural Sarcasm , unfortunately modern media gives reporters a bad name, with the majority being perfectly willing to make things up for a story for the sake of a quick buck. There are some independents who do good work, but a lot of them post stuff on places like YouTube, where anything the company running the platform doesn't agree with gets censored. The fact that all these companies are also lobbyists for multiple first world countries doesn't help much, as it means their news tends to be incredibly biased towards whatever party they're supporting in that country.
@Your Waifu, I like joe rogan’s podcasts, he brings in people from all over, both political and nonpolitical, and just has them tell their story. He engages without guiding the narrative. I enjoy that style of interview
@Natural Sarcasm , the problem (in my opinion, of several problems) with Joe Rogan’s podcast is that he might not have a political narrative to push... but a lot of people who he platforms do... and, while it’s not his job necessarily to do so, Joe allows many many things said by his guests to go unchecked... which can be problematic when you have a large impressionable audience.
@Douche Amore, that’s the thing though. He isn’t there to debate them and he brings in people from the right and the left and allows them a say their piece. Pushing a narrative is bad journalism plain and simple. When you interview someone it’s about hearing their side and allowing the audience to make up their own mind about the information given.
@Natural Sarcasm , altering or influencing their narrative would be insulting them, but fact checking them in real time is needed in the media. IDK how much of that Joe does. Sounds like something he'd do for egregious cases.
"Idk man that sounds like total bull and dangerous. *2 seconds of Googling later.* Sure enough man you're full of crap."
@mas2de, I think he does sometimes but not very often. If I remember correctly he pushed back a little when interviewing Adam Conover when it came to giving children hormone blockers. I believe he took the stance that you can do whatever you want as an adult but you shouldn’t have children making these decisions. But it’s been a while since I watched that one so I could be completely wrong
Protecting...freedoms...media? You mean the people who invented the whole ‘eye catching headline’ BS?
What would we do without cnn stoking a race war. We surely would be lost.
The minute the media thinks it's job is protecting us, they've lost the point and are bias asshats
i love when CNN “fact checks” trump because lately they can’t even say he’s lying bc he just flat out isn’t. they just say “yes that’s true...but it’s misleading bc this and this yadda yadda” it’s such bullshet op ed journalism
lets all bury the lead and pretend donald trump didnt shjt on the entire marine corps
@Hoban Washburne, to be fair the marines wouldn’t be smart enough to get it anyways.
Get fvcked bullet sponges
FOX is entrenched in right-wing nutjobs, even when it's to their detriment.
MSNBC proclaim themselves to be moderate "left", but undermine anyone left of center right.
CNN is neutral to remain "objective", but repeatedly does false equivocation even in the face of obvious liars. The problem with all 3 is that they are corporate media, meaning they have financial stakes in every story. Things like the Opioid Epidemic, Climate Change, Looming Economic Collapse for the working class, these things won't be covered as often as they should be if ever cause it would make their advertisers look bad. Politicians rarely get asked hard policy questions because it would hurt their "access" to more interviews with said Politician. Even when a pandemic ravages the planet their first action, isn't to question any health professionals and refer to their guidelines so people have accurate information, but to see if the government is going to put Politics aside to protect people.
@HappyBandit7, that moment when youre so far left that you think a news organization thats been stoking a race war, advocates for open borders, lies about cops, and covers for a radical left fringe group beating and murdering people in the streets is moderate.
@CocoasBro, the moment you’re so dumbfvck alt-right that you think your outlets dont do the same thing to a far more egregious degree
@Hoban Washburne, you have no idea what media I consume.
@Hoban Washburne, that moment when you realize that @CocoasBro does his own research instead of blindly accepting what the media tells him!
Americans thank soldiers for committing crimes against other nations.
Americans can stop pretending and thank the media as well, because otherwise killing innocent people for Amercian interests would have been called terrorism.
@Factory BOY, no
@Factory BOY, go fvck yourself
@MMSieBreeze, which hand?
@Uncut Bandito, If you bomb civilians for your interests... well both Americans and Islam Terrorists do this, only one is considered radical for doing such. If one has to act against a (foreign) state with violence, its because something is wrong. Americans seemingly can't stop
It’s an opinion article so.
