Actually the spanish flu was going on during the war, it just was never identified before a lot of soldiers returned home
@Tentastic, not entirely true. Some countries actually suppressed any reporting on the spanish flu, to attempt to avoid even worse moral. Kind of fücked imo. Allowing your civilians to die silently, so you can continue a war.
@Tentastic, spanish flu was actually a reason for a ton of deaths during the war. Most soldiers were stuck in trenches with not much supply so ones to get sick easily could've did from it
@FoodEatsI, man. Imagine that. What kind of country suppresses a serious pandemic in order to boost the stoc- I mean to keep a high approval - I mean, to boost moral.
@Tentastic, it was identified actually but the US government kept it hidden to not take focus away from the war.
Funny how history repeats itself.
@DikDastardly, yup it’s super easy to do so when history is censored too
What in tf is the context for this picture???
@CLASSIC DAVE, it was old propaganda warning that spies/brainwashed individuals could be anywhere, even in your own home. People were very paranoid nearing the end of the war, so much so that that’s when all the “brainwashing” stories started and posters like these were produced out of fear. It’s crazy how much fear can cause things like this and I have completely made this up with no actual knowledge of the context.
So.... WW3 around the corner?
@megamanx181x, fingers crossed!
@megamanx181x, no, it's clearly hiding behind your front door. LOOK OUT!
@ TouchMyCatEars, it’s too late!
NOOOOOO! THEY GOT MEGAMAN!!!
@ TouchMyCatEars, THAT IS IT. I have HAD it with these muthafvckin WW3s on my muthafvckin doorstep!
@ TouchMyCatEars, *energy Spheres fly all over the place*
Antarctica versus the artic circle who will win.
Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
