A really good recipe for tofu is take two pieces of cardboard and wet them, place the tofu in the middle of the damp cardboard and put it in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for twenty minutes, then take the tofu out the oven throw it in the bin and eat the cardboard!

I like tofu as tofu. I don't like it as a substitute. It's delicious in a stir fry or most Japanese dishes. But no, I'm not ordering a tofu burger.
Don’t sub tofu for meat.
On the other hand: possibly my favorite taco filling; firm tofu diced 1/2 in or so, coat in corn starch and adobo, pan fry to golden brown, drizzle lime juice.
