Can't relate; my marriage isn't a sham.
@Anchorman, thank you, and congratulations!
@Anchorman, Yup. Couldn't agree more.
@Anchorman, you the real MVP
I always hate "funny" posts that have to do with cheating. I'm a guy and cheating isn't funny in any way, shape, or form...just sad.
@Mrod27, why does it matter if you're a guy? Turns out, women cheat as well. In fact according to two studies (one Harvard, one John Hopkins), a higher percentage of women have cheated than men, not by a lot, but a statistically significant percent (both are around 50%). Both studies concluded the same reason as well: men aren't as suspicious, and some women take advantage.
@talmet, It really is the girls now n days. Not all girls of course, but a lot are just crazy.
@Mrod27, I met a kid the other day who talked about marrying his girl, only to turn around and say he's looking for some side action. It really confuses me.
@A Confused Banana , eh, I'd say it's both. People always try to turn things into one gender vs the other. But most things are true across the board. Like the whole "men think about sex once every 6 seconds" which is a really bad take away from a study that said men think about sex about 1/6th of the time (so, watch a movie with love scenes, have sex with your gf, think about a date you had, listen to a song, etc.) but the real big thing is that the same study said women think about sex about 2/13 of the time (which come to about 12 minutes less a day, and was within the margin of error)...so only real thing that can be taken from the study, is that humans think about sex roughly 2 and a half hours a day. But people need to put one gender against the other, so we tell girls that boys only think about sex.
@niffler, *more applause*
@Mrod27, true dat.
The most annoying form of repost. A repost with "True Dat" pasted below it.
@Tytinn, true dat.
@Tytinn, true dis
@Tytinn, Anoop did it.
This is disturbingly sexist
Something that kind of annoys me is that when we deal with sexist issues such as this or the whole equality in workplaces pic not too long ago there's an obvious gap. The pic that talked about feminists not wanting intensive labor jobs only targeted a specific group of women causing said issues. Then we have this pic here that basically says "Hey all guys are pigs and scum lolollol how true is that?!" What makes it worse is people actually upvote stuff like this. Just wanted to get my opinion out there
@ShrookerOoker, People upvote the anti female pictures too. People forget that it goes both ways, but we only pay attention to one.
@niffler, no I fully understand that it goes both ways as it should however the point I'm trying to make is 1 pic attacks the problem group. Not "women" but "feminists". Not only that but a specific group of feminists that are all complain and no action. That's why people upvoted that one. However this picture blatantly piles all men into 1 group and just insults them without regard. That's my issue here. Now was this picture to take about the scumbags who actively take out their day on their wives and just abuse them then yes, full support all the way. There are horrible men out there and they need to be stopped. But piling the entire sex into 1 horrible category is the exact definition of sexist.
@ShrookerOoker, So, exactly like the previous marriage bashing posts? Those grouped all women to be psychotic, annoying, or possessive. my point here is, (and this is just an observation, dont kill me) that if its an image that portrays men in a bad light, its all of a sudden about the feminists. But if its an image thatportrays women in a bad light, then the reaction is generally that of its just a joke kind of thing. so i mean in that way, us guys get super sensitive when it comes to our stereotypes cause honestly our stereotypes suck as much as the gals. I come from a household with no father figure, but I had my mom, 2 older sisters and a baby sister. And as much as it pisses me off, my dad cheated on my mom, all of my sisters had been cheated on at some point or another, and I nearly killed the guy that tried to have sex with my 15 year old little sis when she didnt want to. Men cheat, women cheat, but because girls are emotional and guys "just want sex", people see men cheat more
@ShrookerOoker, Sorry for long post, *disclaimer: this is my opinion, i am entitled to my opinion and you are entitled to disagree with me
@niffler, no no your right funny is funny to different people I cannot argue that. It's def all opinion here tho like u said. Personally my reasoning is that the guy stereotype is the not listening, non talking, beer drinking guy who just wants to watch sports while the woman stereotype is the asking questions, making plans without the husbands approval/knowledge and always being right. The only reason this pic annoyed me is because that it plays on none of those stereo types and rather just blanket calls men abusive or scum when ME PERSONALLY I've done my absolute best be to be loyal and loving and yet I got cheated on 3 times so far. So now it's obvious as hell while we have differing opinions however I'll admit I never considered it from your position. And don't apologize for the long post, It only helped support your side so totally worth the read
It doesn't make sense whichever way you read it
"Men are pigs" Nice joke, how original.
@Spilled Milk, I'm not saying you're wrong, but its kind of like the b!tchy girl on her period jokes. Not very original at all
Hmmm... does the pretty writing make it smell less burnt... ummmm.... nope.
Yeah because everyone's marriage is like that... :/
Over-exaggerated, stereotypical gender roles are harmful to everyone.
The replies have more upvotes than the actual post ...
Women are just trying to make it look like men are the bad guys cause in reality women always cheat more
@Metaslayr, in studies done both genders cheat equally, actually
Can't relate, too much of a loser to even get a girlfriend
Tad eurt? I don't get it
