Ooooh a twist still not enough to save a dead meme
@jizzgenerator, this one is the evolution of the dying meme
I use my turn signals even when I KNOW that there's no one around me to see it. Because I could still be wrong.
@I Are Lebo, I do as well. I wish every driver thought like that.
@CynicalSir, me too! It's more out of habit
@jizzgenerator, yep, it's a good habit to have.
@I Are Lebo, almost had a crash today because an asshole didn't indicate. Doing 70 on the dual carriageway in the right hand lane (yes from the tea and crumpets land, right hand lane is fast lane) and this jeep is doing 50 in the left, and as I go to pass them they just swerve into the right lane right in front of me without any warning so I slammed on my brake and horn and flashed them a bunch, came to me overtaking them and they were flipping me off like what the fvck!
Use your damn turn signals!!! How hard is it?
@All Mighty Donut, You see, I don't masturbate with my left hand, so it is incredibly weak and I feel that the force required to flick the turn signal would break it as my skin is essentially made of paper and my bones of glass
@TriangleTesticles, hmmm...well you are excused.
Meh, it's just a courtesy not a legal requirement.
It's never bothered me once in over 20 years of driving if someone didn't indicate.
You can't take notice of it anyway, what if the driver doesn't know it's on? Happens all the time.
Just keep your distance and don't take anything for granted.
@DaddyWurzel, I just use my hazards as I will go left or right at some point.
@Mit, just my opinion, say if you're on a side road and someone is indicating left on the main road, so you pull out assuming they are turning and they drive in the side of your car, guess who will get the blame? yep, you.
Someone in front of you turns without indicating and you hit them from behind?
You're at fault again.
I knew my comment wouldn't go down well, but try using "but they didn't indicate" in court, and you wouldn't stand a chance.
@DaddyWurzel, your comment of “courtesy and not a legal requirement” is what I am specifically referring to. I made an assumption that you live in the US. I do not know the law of the country where you may live. The use of a turn signal is required by law in all 50 states. It is a misdemeanor traffic violation if you change lanes, turn, etc and you do not signal. Your other comments about fault/guilt regarding an accident would ultimately be up to the court, but I generally agree with you.
@Mit, I'm in the UK, I have no idea about anywhere else in the world.
Over here it's still perfectly acceptable to use hand signals, I like to use them on the 4 days of summer we have when my window is open.
@DaddyWurzel, my apologies my friend. I have removed my original downvote and gave you and upvote. I have also changed my original reply to try and be funny. I also ride a motorcycle and use hand signals including turn signals for safety. Take care.
@Mit, and you.
I thought the comment was funny beforehand.
I find the safest way to drive, is to assume every over driver is a blind lunatic that is out to kill you.
I know some people are looking at this laughing, while simultaneously being this person. For the record, I am not, I am the asshat speeding, still using his turn signals like it matters at the speed I'm going.
Can I take a quick poll? Who here uses their turn signal while in a turn only lane?
The only thing good to come from this meme.
I've never heard of elf on a shelf
That's not how this meme works, mom.
