Okay, so, 3 things:
1) I hope it will be more focused. I liked Ragnarok, but it was all over the place. I don't want funny rock man making "lol we're self-aware" jokes during one of the most dramatic scenes in the MCU...again.
2) I hope they didn't spend 3-5 fvcking movies (Ragnarok, Infinity War, Endgame) addressing how Thor really is worthy, only to tear him down in the new one. There's a lot of ways for Jane to pick up the hammer without having to nullify Thor's character development, but the Adam Sandler joke he was in Endgame makes me afraid that they'll go the easy route and just set him back to square one.
3) Not as big a deal as the first two, but please don't call Jane Thor. It was a stupid decision in the comics, it'd be a stupid decision now. I have no problem with her picking up the hammer (other than the fact that she's barely been in the universe outside the first two Thor movies), but Thor is a name, not a title.
@SimonPetrikov, This is like the third text wall I've written in the past two days, I need to chill.
@SimonPetrikov, well the fat Thor is from a comic series called unworthy Thor’s, so it’s canon, and it happened, that’s where they make the ark to find some one worthy to wield the power. Don’t get so angry at actual canon stories, I get it, it’s not as good and a scape goat but it’s been written in the past
@SimonPetrikov, no, dont chill, you're right. If what you have to say requires a text wall, then do so.
@DrSin, I don't really care what's written in the comics. These are the movies. Different universe, different context, different canon. If fat Thor had been done well, I wouldn't be complaining, but he wasn't, so I am. I have the same perspective going into Love the Thunder.
@SimonPetrikov, isnt the hammer destroyed? Do they mean stormbreaker? But stormbreaker doesnt judge if someones worthy. Doesnt this fvck up all the prewritten rules of the mcu. Mainly that thors powers are genitic and that mjolniers was just channeling that power?
@BlazingBowman, That makes sense. I think you're right, I don't think Stormbreaker has the enchantment. Headlines are reading that Jane will "pick up the hammer" and I think she held the hammer at Comic-Con, so I do think Mjolnir will be re-incorporated, but the bit about Thor being the god of thunder will hopefully stay relevant.
@SimonPetrikov, i think whats gonna happen (unless they retcon a bunch of stuff for no reason) thors gonna reforge mjolnir but put all his powers in it. Hes gonna die. Jane will pick up the hammer, then probably have a forced lesbian relationship with the last valkyrie. And there will be a forced feminist overtone over the whole movie about men being bad. This movie im thinking marks the real end of the mcu as it shifts into the all new all female and poc lgbtqllmnop avengers. The plots will become dumber and dumber as will the reasons they kill off the popular avengers. It will be like the new star wars where things make less and less sense and the message outweighs the attempt to entertain.
@SimonPetrikov, you've talked shjt on korg and that's unforgivable.
@Sweet Baby Jones, You know what? I'm gonna say it.
Korg is the Jarjar of the MCU.
@SimonPetrikov, i hate you for being correct
@DrSin, there's a lot of things that happen in the comics that are technically canon. That doesn't mean they aren't incredibly stupid and can't be written better, that just means that Marvel at the time had bad writers working on its official comics, and that includes Marvel comics right now.
@Marida Cruz, yeah I totally agree, female thor, and carol danvers captain marvel should not only be written better but should be added to the movies for a better reason then they where. I.e. it was in the comics so let's play lip service.
@SimonPetrikov, hey don't hate on taika waititi's character like that. Wait to his next performance, you'll have a more apt description.
@BlazingBowman, i like how you’re already triggered before the movie has even come out
@SimonPetrikov, I agree with everything but one part. Fat Thor wasn’t an Adam Sandler joke, it was actually a rather sad moment in his story arc where he’d given up and had nothing left to fight for. They took a comedic approach to cover up the depression because otherwise he’d have been a buzzkill on the movie. If you read between the lines in Endgame, you see a man who is deeply traumatized and isn’t coping with his demons.
But otherwise I agree. If they call Portman Thor, they’d be devaluing everything Hemsworth Thor went through, and would essentially be making him a replaceable character.
Edit: what the actual fück is up with Stuckpixel putting year old pictures into recent? Wtf?
@I Are Lebo, there is always the possibility it won't devalue Hemsworth per say, but it could lead to the eventual ark akin to Jane Foster Valkyrie, and Thor becoming the true All Father.
Also, I assume these pictures have been surfacing from random after finally receiving enough likes.
@SatansAdvocate, that seems the likely scenario, but it seems to me that the qualifications for recent are simply that they cross the like threshold. Ideally, there should be a cutoff point where it just stays in the uncut folder.
@I Are Lebo, also a fair point. Unless on the long shot it was intentional for October to resurrect dead memes/funny pics
I want Eva Green as loki
@Beggar Mugger, I just want Eva Green
@AverageIdiot, I just wanna masturbate furiously while looking at her tits
Lady Thor is coming
@megamanx181x, and she can wield MY hammer anytime she wants. If you know what I mean
@Skeletorr, oh... I think I do...
@Skeletorr, oh I know what you mean.
I can't wait to see her Love and Thunder, if you know what I'm talking about!
She can pick up my hammer anytime. And by hammer I mean penis
@BigJohnson86, "I call him "The Hammer". *Camera pans down to a watch makers hammer.
T H O R C C or nothing!
Oh lawd she comin
Love and Thunder sounds like a rockband name
I love chris hemsworth and I think he’s an amazing thor so idc if Natalie Portman becomes lady thor as long as hemsworth is still the star of the movie
I don't care about the political motivations of things. I just go, "would that be interesting to see" and then if it's yes, I get excited.
Question, how can Jane pick up the hammer when the hammer was destroyed in Ragnarok and Steve brought the hammer back in time and returned it when he returned the stones, and I highly doubt the ONE dwarf made a second hammer or he would have given it to thor in infinity war
@InsaneWorm, I’m gonna guess timeline shenanigans starting at thor 2 when captain America goes back to return mjolnir and the ether.
