@Guy Fawkes, Actually you would be surprised what contouring makeup can do to the human face. Its the same basic idea as camouflage, using colors to try and change the natural shape. There are quite a lot of really cool makeup videos on YouTube that show how you can use shading and contouring to drastically change the way you look. And on the second season of Ink Master one of their challenges was to use paint to show lighting effects. There were a lot of really creative uses to show that. Highly recommended.

@Guy Fawkes, Japanese and Korean beauty gurus contour their noses so much to make them look more like the "western ideal." Also, beauty tape is often used to make the face more of a reverse tear drop shape and to lift the eyelids. *the more you know*
