Zombie Road is a real thing in Wildwood, MO. Weird shjt happens there
@Not him again, I live in Kansas City and want to go there but ai heard it's trespassing to be there anymore and the police frequent it. That true?
@Rumble, yes it is. I went there probably 15 years ago before they started all that
@Not him again, gotchya. Might have to make it a late night hike. Could add to the spookiness. Or end up being the settup to a Missing 411 story.
@Rumble, might just be teens going where no one is around...or is it?
Disappointed New Jersey wasn’t the devil tree
@Erinjagerbombastic, seriously. Clinton Road is just dark as hell with a few abandoned houses
@Erinjagerbombastic, we have so many here in New Jersey. I’m disappointed as well
@Erinjagerbombastic, I'm disappointed it wasn't the Jersey Shore
@Erinjagerbombastic, I’m disappointed it wasn’t the jersey devil. There’s literally a whole nhl franchise named after it. I don’t see any teams in this state named “b1tch ass ghost boy from Clinton road”
@Erinjagerbombastic, yea, right? What’s so scary about a friendly ghost boy? You want scary? Go for a walk through Camden with $5 in your hand.
@YoYoMango, they could have done anything from the pine barrens and it would have been better
Of course the urban legend in California is somewhere in the middle of nowhere
Right? And what about The Winchester Mystery House?
@Bow To Your Senpai, What is that place? I’ve seen about 3 million tweets claiming weird Masonic links to it, but that’s literally the only thing I know about it.
@Bow To Your Senpai, I've been there. I wouldn't say it's scary at all.
@Nellybert , it’s not a mystery as so much it’s a sideshow. The Winchester house was built and own by the window of the Winchester gun company. Toward her later years she had the house built but started going crazy claiming to hear ghosts and such so everyday during construction she was giving new orders to change the designs. There are rooms with no doors, staircases that go now here, door leading outside etc. it took on its own myth claiming it’s haunted and that Winchester’s window had a connection to the supernatural. It’s a popular tourist attraction and gets more attention during halloween
@megamanx181x, Ah, ok. Thanks for the concise summary, makes a lot more sense now.
@Nellybert , no problem!
I was expecting something more exciting for Tennessee. My dude was just drunk on moonshine and thought it was a deer
Pffft, fake news - ‘Communism’ should be the biggest fear in at least 3 States.
@Nellybert , *50
@mas2de, wait, no. I guess a lot of Trump supporters like Putin and Russia now.
@mas2de, 49 - Texans ain’t afraid of those Commies.
College students carrying dildos, but not commies.
@Nellybert , Cali isn't afraid of college students, dildos, or any combination thereof. Communism isn't unheard of on any kind of school campus though. Pretty much does out when the 5 years graduate college and realize that communism doesn't work. Or at least not for very long and always with very bad results.
I'd ask to borrow a couple guns from you to help protect myself from commies, but they're probably illegal here unless it's like an m1 or something. And even that, some idiot wil think the spring clip hitting the ground is a grenade or some shjt. Sorry. Guns laws here piss most of us off.
@mas2de, They do? Huh. About the only time we see ‘Trump supporters’ on the news here they’re (and the same guess for ‘Democrat supporters’) usually screaming in incoherent outrage about something. Seriously, I have no idea who believes in what any more - the only think I can say for certain is that in any town hosting a protest you will find at least a handful of fat blokes carrying M-16s and dressed up like Seal Team 600lbs And thinking they look good doing it. They’re the NRA equivalent of those 50 year old dudes dressed as Sailor Moon you’ll find at any anime based event. What’s with those guys? That is weird, right? It’s not just me who thinks that? Where was I going with this?
@Nellybert , idk where you were going but a good a good laugh out of where you went. "Seal team 600lbs" lmao.
Yeah, fvck those guys in particular. I only know a couple people who support certain Democrats but it's really just supporting a person, not a party. And never so fervently as the M16 toti g Trump supporters, The rest see Democratics as just the lesser of the 2 main evils and all others too small to matter. Theeenn there's the crybabies always offended by something. On the left because someone did or said some bs, then on the other side because someone else got offended by their racism or misogyny, and their being offended offends them, then the normal people because the idiots won't sit down and shut up and let the adults who don't need prescription meds alone.
Yeah, they're all weird and we could use more of them staying indoors and away from the internet.
@mas2de, I live in the UK, my perspective on/experience of gun laws is so different from that of Americans that it’s a debate I avoid - we’re coming at it from such opposite ends of the spectrum it’s hard to avoid it turning in to an argument.
Similarly, we probably have a different threshold for our definitions of Communism (I’m a firm capitalist but I support the NHS, for example - something which many in the US would consider a Communist endeavour). That said though, it’s generally equally the case here that students (being people who has largely no experience of reality) are more likely to be left leaning, but move over to the right as they get older/pay more taxes/wise up to reality.
@Nellybert , the UK!? Oh shjt, so forget guns, you get in trouble for buying butter knives and bringing them home. Po bastard.
@mas2de, Which also means that neither I nor anyone I know has ever been threatened with a gun/knife or felt that it was necessary to own/carry one for protection.
Like I said, the UK and the US are completely different starting points for the discussion - what works in one would be completely wrong for the other.
@Nellybert , I don't get how people can do stuff daily without a knife though. It's the first tool the body doesn't have. How do people work trade jobs without knives? They can't. If they do have one, how often do they mess up and forget they have a knife on them?
@mas2de, Knives are allowed. I can’t remember the exact rules, but it’s basically “no flick knives, no carrying blades over 3” long unless it’s a work thing”.
So a gardener could happily have a machete in his work van, but if I walked down the street with it in my belt I’d get in trouble.
I have a collection of bladed implements which could easily kill (knives, axes, things like that) and that’s perfectly legal because they’re tools - but if I was in public caring it as a weapon, that wouldn’t be legal. I guess it’s kind of like how in some States you can own a handgun but can’t concealed carry it - it’s all context.
It irks me so much that there is no good order on the top part of the pic.
Dead Children's Playground is real as well, it is located near one of the largest graveyards in Alabama and I visit it quite a bit for paranormal research.
Vermont also has the Black eyed children
@GoddammitLarry, Vermont can't really claim them as their own at this point as encounters have happened everywhere.
Look up the Astonish Legends podcast, they covered the BEKs really well.
In New York it was originally the Headless Horseman. Guess it got less scary once it became required reading in middle school.
Huh. From Washington here. And ive never heard of no nessy like monster. Interesting though. Not that we dont have our fair share of random local legends and superstitions.
Colorado never had slaves...
Anyone up for a 49 maybe 50 state tour?... After the virus is dealt with of course.
@CRIZZLE290, why wait just treat it like it's spring g break in florida yolo.
@CRIZZLE290, I ever win the lottery, I’m binge watching ‘Man Vs Food’ and ‘Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives’ then flying to the States and road tripping across the continent by way of all the best looking places on the shows.
Where is Pig Man from Pig Man's Road?
I’ve always had an irrational fear of humanoid deer beings. Glad to see they’re real. (23)
@ImNotRacistBut, A couple of friends, and I tried human once. We are all Wendigos now. It's kinda fun.
Hey out here in Illinois don't forget about Bachelor's Grove Cemetery, where Al Capone supposedly buried bodies and spirits and a house can be seen in the wee hours of night time
Why is the Michigan Dogmen NEVER mentioned it's like the only cool cryptid we have and the coolest part is that a guy wrote a song about them for April Fool's day only for people to call in and say they've actually been seen since the 1700's.
Live 10 minutes away from the cursed pillar in Georgia. Admittedly it's pretty lame and the legend's pretty much been forgotten, or at least it's not really discussed. It was actually destroyed (twice) when a drunk driver ran into it and they rebuilt it.
ITS MY BRIDGE NOW, GOATMAN
youre gonna put an escaped crazy person as the scariest thing here and not the fact that pungo has skinwalkers???
