The nostalgia brings me back
I thought Tara Strong was Bubbles from the powerpuff girls
@Wolffairy, she was and surprised she’s not on here
@Wolffairy, She would take up more than half of the list if they put her on here.
Mark Hamill should get a nod on this
Can't spell Mark Hamill without Arkham
@Fes, I bet ya $100 June Foray is dead
@celtics313131, in 2017 though
Kath Soucie helped create an entire generation of furries.
@Gadget, yeah Fifi La Fume
@Drax The Destroyer, YES!! SHE'S HAAAAAAT!!!
@Gadget, Then Tress MacNeille is responsible for the entire furry fandom, including voicing Gadget from Rescue Rangers.
They totally forgot Hank Azaria guy does so many famous voices! Honorable mention: Will Freddie and John DiMaggio
I feel like a voice actor would be a dream job for me.
@ThePandaPool , same
@ThePandaPool , it is mine, and I'm fairly close to achieving it at least on the smaller scale here in the midwest. Find some classes and make some connections my guy.
@sir killjoy, life went allow it. Work 50 hrs a week, and have a wife and kids to take care up.
Jim Cummings is the voice of everyone you know and love. He has been everyone in hundreds of roles from Darkwing Duck, to Ray from a princess and the Frog, to Rasputin in Anastasia, to Catdog. He is the king of voice acting. He even did the singing voice for Scar in the Lion King when the voice actor’s singing voice went out in Be Prepared. I implore you to search him and see how he’s played in all the things. Most underrated voice actor of all time. lol
@Shananigan90, Jim is a god an I'm mad he's not on here.
@Orcis, Same!! I discovered him by accident when looking up one of his roles and I hear him everywhere now. He’s soo good!
@Shananigan90, I thought Rasputin was voiced by Christopher Lloyd?
@Rhyzel , he was
@Rhyzel , that is correct. Jim Cummings still has a lot to his name though... Monterey Jack from chip and dale rescue rangers, as well as half the villains on that show, don carnage and Louie from talespin. Pete from goof troop, kingdom hearts, clubhouse, etc. the modern voice of Winnie the Pooh.... chef pasghetti from curious George...
@Rhyzel , Lloyd was the talking voice for Rasputin but Cummings was the singing voice. Cummings sings In the Dark of the Night, which is arguably one of the best animated villain songs next to Be Prepared and Heaven’s Light/Hellfire.
How is Hank Azaria, the master of voices, not on this list?
@Animalium, be honest, they just didn’t have enough room in this one little post to fit all his greatness!
@Malice211, true, true, but too few people are aware of his talent. Particularly his talent beyond the Simpsons.
no Frank Welker?
@InsaneAnimeCleavage, i feel like half of frank welkers voices are the exact same voice... I don’t know how many times i Hear Fred’s voice in other toons
I wonder who does all the evil voices in my head?
Omg... Yoda and miss piggy sound a little bit the same.
The new Greek gods.
Agree that Jim Cummings should have been on this list, and they just didn't put all of Mel Blanc's characters on this list because there is not enough room... he literally did EVERY voice for ALL the looney toons. On the credits his name is the ONLY name under voice actors... if anyone is the God of voice over it's Mel Blanc.
The disrespect for Sterling Holloway is unreal. He had over 10x that amount of memorable characters
Why no Jim Cummings?
First of all, the last three shouldn’t really count.
Also, wheelie is from transformers DARK OF THE MOON not “Dark SIDE of the moon”
@MrTsquared, I agree, though I will give Seth MacFarlane a little credit in that his characters have some variation in their voices, but the South Park characters all sound extremely similar.
Can’t forget the current voice of Pooh and Cheshire Cat
June Foray passed away in 2017.
And Peter Worburten (however its spelled) should be up there too.
@ThePandaPool , Patrick Warburton. And I think part of the significance here is, you really wouldn’t know any of these people from live action work. Other than Castellenata (I’m not closing out of this comment to check my goddamn spelling), I’m not sure I’ve seen any of them in a live role. Plus, everyone here is known for their distinctly DIFFERENT voices, which, lets face it, Patrick is not. Kinda the same for Jon Benjamin. Hilarious characters, same voice.
Steve Blum, anyone?
@HonorableSquidman, spike Spiegel
June Foray is dead
@Blargetha, I was going to look that up as soon I was done...almost 2 years.
Seth McFarland does not voice Peter tho?
@liberachi , he does
@liberachi , he do
@liberachi , he doth
@liberachi , he does
@liberachi , is this how you go about the rest of your knowledge? Nothing to back it up, just whatever opinion feels right?
@big freedom, iconic.
@liberachi , part of me feels as if you enjoy being shat on
@liberachi , sometimes you may think that he don't, but he do.
@The Common Shaman, he does
@Musseler Tusseler, he does
@liberachi , he does, though
@liberachi , you’re a walnut
@liberachi ,He also voices Seamus, Jake Tucker, Dr. Hartman, and Carter Pewdershmidt
@The Common Shaman, he does
@I can spell, he does
@liberachi , they terk our jerbs
@sgc6610, he does, take it from me, Bender!
No Shoutouts to h Jon Benjamin or John DiMaggio?
Where the fvck is Frank Welker?
Nancy Cartwright wasnt the original voice if Chuckie Finster. That goes to the late Christine Cavenough
Tony Jay: Dr. Lipschitz from Rugrats, Judge Claude Frollo from Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Shere Khan from TaleSpin, Wraith from The Mighty Ducks, the asylum keeper from Beauty and the Beast.
And Tim, known for: tim
Mel Blanc looks like the micro machine guy
