@Alliance, I never really understood this joke. The Empire absolutely rekts the rebels in eposide 4 when they clear the ship. They dominant the rebel army as they tare their way through the base and to the shield generators in eposide 5. And they rekt they rebels on endor on the ground and in space. (Yes the empire eventually loses to the ewoks but the rebels also get rekt by the ewoks so they are low key badasses)

@Star Wars Qoutes, has anyone else thought about this; the stormtroopers are always missing because Luke and Leia have the force flowing in them. They probably don't even know the force is protecting them!

@bowerpower1210, cracked does an article about why stormtroopers actually are purposefully missing just like real life soldiers. It's a good read

@bowerpower1210, they are trained to fire at valuable targets but miss so they basically let them get away without being open about it. They do this to capture high value targets like Leia or the rebel base on both and such. The stormtroopers are actually very good marksmen

@bard53, I'm pretty sure these were meant to be like 18th century lifehacks. Load all the single-shot barrels to simulate the semi-automatic function before it was invented. And loading a single-shot 1 time sucks, can't imagine 9 or god forbid 18. Might as well throw it away if you're in battle after its ammo is depleted.
