Hey heres an idea, while talking suicidal people out of suicide sounds nice, hows about we find a way to fix all the stuff that makes people wanna die in the first place, Instead of putting a metal sign up that's just as effective as a paper towel roll for a condom.

Everybody's parents are going to die eventually its inevitable, what I'm saying is if somebody wants to die cause their ex cheated on them or they lost the job they spent ten years working up to then a sign isn't going to do sh!t to help them out of that head state

@Erinjagerbombastic, the sign is meant to hang onto that last bit of hope. Like, "what if after I call them everything's resolved?". Hope is a funny thing. I'm glad there are these numbers to call. If you do know what causes my depression, please tell me. I'll do everything in my power to fix it. I've been looking for a cause but nope.

@MILLIONSAREDEAD, lots of us are sad for no real reason... Our brains just don't work properly. I literally need to be on meds just to make my brain produce and use enough of the chemicals that it actually needs to function.

I agree, but what makes this world great is that it's not perfect, bad things happen, people grow, and they think of ways to make it better, just not by making a sign that effectively says "that thing bad"
