This is why I prefer the .380 ACP!
@XiozTaschez, agreed but don't forget 45 acp
@Greathoneybagger88, I recently discovered .45 colt long. Sometimes oldies are truly goldies!
Americans don't mind metric. Most of us were taught the basics in school. What we don't like is other countries trying to tell us what we should do based on some some superiority complex they have about a measurement system.
No measurement system is inherently better or worse.
@TheGoogler, the irony is that British guns use inches when it comes to serious firepower unless they use the silly 17pounder wacky naval guns
@TheGoogler, nah man. americas great and all but metric is better than inperial. base 10, the conversion ratios make sense, benchmarks for initial values for things like the calorie, meter, and deg. celsius are based on tangible natural constants. its an inherently better measurement system
@Hoban Washburne, not really because "based on" means nothing. The metric measurement meters centimeters etc are based on light in a vacuum. No average person in their daily life ever needed to know how many hundredth or thousandth the speed of light something is. Most of the base US measurements came around from things in a house or on someone's person. Much better for daily use.
You are playing favorites. I am coming at this objectively. All measurements will have their faults, just like they will all have their benefits.
@flippity flip floops, the Brits came up with the imperial system, and then switched to metric, I guess some things didn't change.
@TheGoogler, im comin at it as an electrical engineer that has to use both measurement systems in annoyingly long differential equations and i can tell you metric is just easier and more sensical to use. objectively, base 10 conversions predicated on commonly used benchmarks are worlds easier than “12 of this makes 8 of that which goes into 5/3 of this thing”. theres nothing that makes imperial better other than instantiation.
@TheGoogler, if you look up what the international foot is based on now, it’s a specific fraction of a meter
@Hoban Washburne, haha Kaylee agrees with Wash, engineers prefer metric
I shoot .40 cal, so suck it.
All measurement systems are made up
Realizes that AR-15s take 5.56mm... :(
But then rembers it also takes .223... :D
We just needed a measurement so Natural Sarcasm could let his lady know
Yea i got a .04in pistol
We need it to measure foreigners dicks
Wait, measuring freedoms in commie units?
@codyl, that’s because freedom is for everyone, even commies. Just don’t give the commies power.
I own 3 45 acp And 2 380 acp pistols, only mm gun I own is my Ruger pc9 in 9mm, but that's a rifle.
NO! It means More 'Murican!
We only use metric to measure our bullets. Ironic.
