@Captain Magma, no, I'm in my first year of school for engineering, and I'm pretty sure I've already used almost every kind of math that there is.

@Captain Magma, depends on what job you get...if you work as an engineer, you are going to do some math. You probably won't use everything, but you'll need to be aware of most things just in case.

@talmet, as a computer engineering major, I very much doubt I'll need multivariable calculus in my daily life

@FullxTilt, my geometry teacher literally told us that we can just memorize mostly everything and we don't have to understand it unless we're becoming engineers

@talmet, Petroleum Engineer here, never use anything past Geometry and Trig on a daily basis, I've had to use Calc maybe 5 times in the past 2 years.

@FullxTilt, you also use a lot of math in animation and programming jobs too

@Apollos, so you used calc. I didn't say often, just that you'll use it. You probably do a lot on a computer, doing predictions of wells and that sort of stuff which isn't you doing the math, but it can be pretty advanced mathematics.

@Prince super Vegeta , idk how advanced you are right now, but linear algebra is how graphics works....I mean, a graphics card is just a big matrix calculator, and trying to make one that goes faster, or make a program that does graphics processing (matrix multiplication) easier is huge business in computer engineering.
