Honestly this movie is fantastic. The practical effects and cgi are way ahead of its time. But just the first one is worth watching.. The rest are... Well, awful. It's called Starship Troopers

@LostLogic, the first ones good because it really pokes fun at the glorification of war, and calls into question preemptive attack without tackling those issues in an inflammatory, realistic way

@LostLogic, I think the main reason even the first one is bad though is that it completely butchers what the original novel is supposed to be. It's supposed to show the real horror of glorified war, every foot soldier just being the same looking in every way. It's supposed to show how war can turn humans into drones just like the bugs. And this movie just fails horribly and ends up with camp factor. It's a funny B movie, yea, but it absolutely butchers the novel.
