In case that anyone's wondering, the "No Russian" is from a CoD game level where they massacre people at an airport. I can't remember which CoD it was, I just remember it.
@Markiskerm777, Modern Warfare 2
@DeadXOnyx, man, I miss playing online with the homies. Now I just have Overwatch.
@Markiskerm777, I'm probably just stupid, But what did they mean by "No Russian"? I NEVER CAUGHT ON TO WHAT THEY MEANT
@Pinga, it meant they knew your character was a spy
@Pinga, Markov, the guy who said that, is Russian and spoke Russian as well as all his teammates. He knew that YOU were an undercover spy, and so they could pin the massacre on America he told u all to speak no Russian.
@Pinga, Remember how the attack is pinned on the CIA? Makarov said, "No Russian" so you and the others wouldn't speak Russian to allow him to blame the CIA.
Luckily it's easy to swipe right, I just wish these didn't make up most of the updates.
When u at a club and hear someone say "no gays"
@CounterCultureClown, I'm sorry dude this is too soon.
@CounterCultureClown, Wow, a little too soon but damn
@CounterCultureClown, humor is never too soon
@CounterCultureClown, I enjoy gallows humor, but no.
@Unkle Survivor, It's not really humour when it just happened and is surrounding a very real and imminent threat to an entire country.
Tragedy + time = comedy
@SapphireDragon, that fact might not be, but the joke was. its still humor, whether ir not you get butthurt over it or not.
@DeadXOnyx, almost like we should shoot up an entire bar of people that find it funny, eh? because your opinion is the final say in the Definition of Humor, and What Is and Isn't classified as such?
humor is never too soon.
@CounterCultureClown, most will pretend to be butthurt about something they we forget in 2 days, but some of us will stand bravely, accept the comment was funny and take those poserthumbdowns like real men.
@CounterCultureClown, I know it's a joke but it's a little insensitive making a joke about something so serious that only happened a few hours ago. When making a joke try being more respectful for those that might have been really affected by something like this.
@CounterCultureClown, I feel awful for wondering when I first heard this on the news if it sounded like 'No capes!'
@Don Taco, That's basically saying, "Hey, I may be an insensitive jerk, but at least I've been an insensitive jerk for 2 days longer than that guy!" You're not really helping you're case.
@Feral Snorlax, I have to say though that 'too soon' is a makes no sense. Death is permanent. So is the 'humor' behind it.
@Feral Snorlax, ya but imagine being one of the family members or loved ones of those that died there. Time may heal it a little bit think about your child brother or friends' death being a joke a day after he was unjustly murdered. Would you laugh?
@CounterCultureClown, I like how 50 of us Americans die and it's too soon... Yet we joke about Africans starving, which kills way more than 50 daily, yet that's just fine... Odd.
@Runnin with scissors, And people are already using it for politics. Trump sent a tweet saying, "Appreciate the congrats for being right on radical Islam." What a sick, sick man.
@beastman21, All animals (humans) are created equal, but since are more equal than others. -George Orwell
@CounterCultureClown, haha that was evil but funny. Whether it was too soon or not you get my respect for the attempt.
@Tyler Joseph, you literally just ruined the word "comedy" and "joke" by not understanding what joking means or what joking is. Do you know why joking and comedy is so necessary and important to the world? Because if he didn't have it, we'd be like those 3rd world countries fighting over nothing and just be sad. Comedy and JOKES get us over the bad times and sadness. Non norm people, such as comedians and funny people use comedy and jokes to mask their pain, suffering and sadness because they don't take things that seriously, so instead of crying and complaining, they joke. I do the same as well with any pain or anger sadness.. I joke about it or laugh. And it's 100% more healthy. Jokes are jokes. They're meant to make fun of the situation of issue. Just because we got so randomly sensitive in this country doesn't mean you can tell anyone what's okay to joke about and what's not. I'm all for every attempt at a joke.
@ericb, He's not sick, he's right.
@CounterCultureClown, I found it humorous. If he had said this with more time between the event and now, most would have to lol so don't get butthurt over him saying something ud laugh at further down the line. Chill out people, you all take things too damn seriously
@CounterCultureClown, y'all got that salt
@FoodieAsFuk, I didn't mean anything rude by it, it's just this event really effected me and my family and I really didn't mean any disrespect, I just thought maybe it's just a bit to soon for a joke like that. I also downgrade my pain with jokes and sarcastic comments, but sometimes it's important to remember that people actually lost their own lives. And I'm sorry if I made anyone upset with my comments.
@manbrodude, it must be hard, being that stupid
@Raped by a lesbian, It must be hard being that ignorant to the problems around you
@manbrodude, like trump?
@Raped by a lesbian, No like liberals acting like is is isn't a threat and the problem is gun control. Y'know it's totally not our immigration policy.
@manbrodude, which is among the strictest in the world? Gun control isnt the problem the problem is our culture that breeds people that see these acts as viable ways to express themselves. Immigrants statistically are less likely to commit crimes than us citizens. Ps im a libertarian and i believe in freedom for all i just cant stand a man who promotes authoritarian policies based off the xenophobia of a disenfranchised lower class. I understand why the sentiment exists among these people but please take a moment to educate yourself and youll see the problem is more than just the black and white argument "liberals are the issue" (this goes for liberals and conservatives alike im just talking about conservatives in this case)
@Matches Malone, except we never get the time part anymore. Seems there's a new shooting every week
@Mark Watney, the great Steve Allen popularized this quote that has been debated by generations and generations of comedians. When is the perfect time to laugh? Is it the perfect time to laugh? Should I even laugh? The answer is and almost always depends on society's judgment but I think use yours as well. Sometimes, when death stares at you in the face, smiling at it is the only thing we can do.
@Matches Malone, I completely agree. I responded with a quote by the comedian Kyle Kinane. The point he was trying to make in the bit I am referencing is that there really is no right answer when it comes to guns, but when everyone sticks to their own side and refuses to acknowledge the validity of other points, we tend to polarize, which is what I saw happening here. Also although comedy does have a bit more leeway when it comes to offending people, it is still possible to cross a line of decency.
Aw there is grass for dogs to use in there!
