I mean it would be a cool Tim Burton alternative to Monsters inc.
@ThePandaPool , I'd watch it
@ThePandaPool , it very much could work
@ThePandaPool , someone get Johnny Depp on the phone now!
@AshenJewel, and of course he'll be playing the young girl.
The actual writing prompt on Reddit is beautiful, Just the right level of "don't dare harm this innocent or ill show you what a monster is"
@ Tobias Widower, what's the prompt? Unless I'm blind and missing it in the post
@Thatbright, I think its phrased as "you, the monster under the bed, decide to take a child under your wing to defend against her abusive parents"
@Thatbright, the prompt is, "you're in charge of assigning every kid on earth the monster under their bed. One child in particular has caused every child assigned to them to quit. You decide to assign yourself."
Seriously though, look it up and read the whole short story.... it's actually a Tumblr prompt originally, but it's made the rounds on all of the social media because of how meaningful a story it is
Ohh, that's interesting. Monster under the bed story is to keep children actually in the bed? Neat origin.
No one is gonna care but fvck it, I need to get this off my chest. Reminds me of my childhood. My parents would randomly beat us but never at night, except for once. My brother and I shared a room and what I could tell the door was slammed opened at around 12am on a school night and my brother started getting beat by our father and then I got beat. It was over a sock being under the couch. I was about 12 and my brother was 11. After much debate, at dinner the next day I announced if either one of them touched us again I would be informing the guidance counselor and school officer and we would not leave school until our grandparents came and got us. We never got touched again. To this day my father doesn’t know why I won’t visit or hang out with him.
