What's special about the new iPhone?
@Monstercat, mac sucks, go anything else!
@Monstercat, it's new and that's it
@Monstercat, there no headphone jack. Wireless earbuds come with new iPhones. Those things look easy to lose, but on the upside no tangled headphones.
@Drunk Teacher , and the downside is you can't use anything else at all and they will cost at least 60$ to replace.
@stigmaoftherose, you could use other Bluetooth headphones. Granted there more expensive than regular headphones but other Bluetooth headphones are comparable.
@Drunk Teacher , why??? They're just trying to trademark listening to music now. If you lose those then you'll never be able to listen to music on your phone unless you buy another pair
@Drunk Teacher , ah cavemen, with you're thinking we'd still be using rotary phones connected to the walls, i could hear it now "What?! Phones that could disconnect from the wall? Are you mad, you know how easy itd be to lose that! Are you kidding me, they're talking about making them smaller in the future for convenience!" cue caveman #2 "Yeah you know how much it would cost to replace, like xxx amount of dollars. Nah, I'd rather not spend the extra 5 seconds to set them in their case, too much work, i must move on to the next activity as quick as possible, now now now!" Crucify me, someone's gotta give it to you straight sometimes. I don't see you wanting to connect your phone to your modem for internet. Wireless. It's about moving forward not backwards. It'll be ok 👌.
@CamQuarter, NoNoNoNoNoNo! It's also going to be HALF A MILLIMETRE THINNER!!!!! Oh, and that dumb ol' 3.5mm jack might be going too. But hey, who needs that anyway? And getting rid of it means the phone can be HALF A MILLIMETRE THINNER!!!!!
@stigmaoftherose, $60? This is Apple, you crazy optimist you!
@Greedy Ghandi, Since Bluetooth headphones already exist, Apple aren't being innovative, they'll just be removing choice.
@Monstercat, oh look what you've started now.... Just look
@Nellybert , and others will follow suit. There's nothing wrong with being fir.. Wait, this is not the place to say that. Also, you can always pick up a Bluetooth transmitter/receiver for your headphones, if you still like wires. On top of all that, the ultimate problem solver, don't buy it. I will though. And damn I'll enjoy every millimeter of it, or lack there of. And you can't stop me! Never! Muahaha!
@Greedy Ghandi, I don't have a big problem with the wires, I just know I'd be forever forgetting to charge them up though! I'm lazy/forgetful, so I have about six pairs of headphones scattered amongst various bags and suit jackets, so I have them when I need them - wouldn't work with battery powered headphones, so I'd end up spending a fortune on adaptors.
If the rumours about Apple saving the big changes for next year (10th birthday of the iPhone) are true, I'll stick with my old 6 and upgrade next year.
You go get yourself a 7 though and enjoy it - it'll definitely be a thing of beauty, whatever else they do to it.
@stigmaoftherose, it's still blue tooth, you can use anything that's blue tooth
@Monstercat, they have done it again! They have made more iphone ones to counter the high demand.
Apple is like porsche... same car with a different name.
@Nellybert , I'm sure they'll create headphones that use their "lightning" jack as well
@Nellybert , I'm gonna get the 7 because I haven't upgraded in about 5 years. But the "big changes" of the 8 scares me a bit
@Drunk Teacher , the problem with being forced to use Bluetooth would be the slight mismatch between audio and video.
@Tyrellious, Just get a 6. Same thing as 7 but still a headphone jack.
@MySp00nIsTooBig, well I don't really ever use headphones. My car audio already uses a USB port, so I've never needed an aux cord/ headphone jack
@Monstercat, this is a repost. I think the original pic was from years ago. However I'm completely cool with this being posted because it's still true.
@Tyrellious, Ah, okay. I had to upgrade 2 years ago cos my old iPhone kept overheating and it burnt out the wifi chip, but I'll probably just get the battery replaced in this one and save myself a few hundred quid.
@Tyrellious, Probably will, I just don't like having to replace something that works fine with what is essentially the same thing. (Upgrading is one thing, but these will be identical headphones with a different plug on them).
@Monstercat, what have I done
I drive an E46 M3. They aren't installed. I don't think so anyway
Ok, this stuff bothers me. I'm literally looking at my toyota corolla blinker and it looks exactly like the one in the pic. Does that mean Saab uses the same blinker or that they used random photos from random cars...I'm weird like that.
@MadJac, possibly, I think Saab were loosing money so needed other car companies to help, they gave Saab the design and told them to just change the badges, even though they changed alot of the features the indicaters could be the same
@bananaLOL171299, wow thanx. The more u know.
@MadJac, a lot of misc parts are from suppliers, the more cars that use them the lower your cost.
Come on, a Saab may be a decent car, but I wouldn't go as far as to consider it amazing. Sweden could have done better
I almost never use my blinkers
@benderama, why? Is it because you suck?
@big freedom, it probably owns a BMW.
@benderama, truck driver?
@big freedom, it's because I ride a motorcycle and it is old and doesn't have blinkers
@benderama, I ride an old motorcycle too. Unless it's from the 20's it should have blinkers. Otherwise that's unroadworthy and therefore illegal
@benderama, hand signals. Still safe and effective
@ApacheBeard, it's a custom bobber and Fvck your rules
@benderama, it's custom..... So you forgot to put indicators on it?
@benderama, they're not exactly my rules but ok
I believe Apple invented that
I play the counting game rach time I go out. For every turn or lane change without a signal I count one. Though I call it "At least 2" because at least 2 vehicles do it. My record is like 12.
So what's the new gadget and what's it do?
@mas2de, it's a turn signal. It turns off the "I'm an inconsiderate asshole" sign on your car.
@CynicalSir, Will it reduce the number of birds I have pointed at me while I'm driving?
@mas2de, yes, For sure.
@CynicalSir, Clearly Photoshop though - that looks like a BMW and we all know they don't have these.
@CynicalSir, Might just be worth looking into then....
Nah. Good ruck erybody else!
