Germany threw more than a sucker punch and Russia did not knock out Germany with a single punch. Russia's cold determination and icy demeanor were what really did it in for Germany.
@ScaryMikeScarinMikes, i thought ScaryMike was back at first
@ScaryMikeScarinMikes, Actually incompetence and bad command did Germany in not Russia's will. The 6th panzer army was poised to take their main fuel depot in the Caucasus mountains yet the wheeled north to take Stalingrad along with another army group that was going to take Moscow. We all know what happens next 6th panzer army destroyed and Germany retreats all because Hitler wants to erase Stalin's name. At Kursk they have a chance to turn it around yet they hesitate because Hitler wants to use the Panther tank. Three months go by Russia prepares and Germany attacks. Battle is largest tank battle in history. Germany loses and continues retreating Hitler pulls valuable men from the Eastern front to fight in the battle of the bulge putting the final nail in Germany's coffin. So long story short Hitler's stupidity cost them the war.
@ScaryMikeScarinMikes, *crazy haired aliens guy from the history channel* "historians"...
@ScaryMikeScarinMikes, not to mention Germany was fighting with 2 people on either side of him
@ScaryMikeScarinMikes, also, Japan wasn't sitting on the sidelines, it was beating up all of the Asian countries in the bar, and it only body slammed America when America cut it off from its beer (oil embargo). And I don't think it's fair to say that America only started fighting Germany when it was already half dead on the ground. A half dead on the ground country couldn't have put up such a fight at Normandy. Sorry, but the historian in me doesn't appreciate inaccuracies.
@ScaryMikeScarinMikes, What screws Germany over when they attacked Russia is the "scorched earth" strategy. Russian forces would keep falling back and destroy their own crops so that Germany had nothing and wasted resources as Germany moved into Russia. The land is usually what messes them up, and once they're too weak to move on anymore they fall back into their own territories, and then Russia starts planning offenses.
@Croaks, let's not forget the bitter cold and out kicking your coverage ie supplies and warm blankets
@ScaryMikeScarinMikes, not to mention 17,000,000 Military casualties
@Maiq the Liar, I feel like Italy may be Spain's husband but I could be wrong.
@Joey Boey, Spains wife, otherwise you're right.
This is really lopsided. Yeah, America didn't do sh!t in WWI, but you're going to tell me that the US didn't do anything in WWII? Russia was up to it's eyeballs in Nazis and was losing Stalingrad, Britain was getting bombed day and night, France was already locked down to begin with, and all other resistance was being crushed when the US entered the war. If you're saying that America was just dicking around on the sidelines, while in reality US troops were sweeping Europe and the Pacific, then you must be basing this off of prejudice instead of actual history. Did we work in cooperation with Britain to sweep Europe? Yes, and England remains a respected ally even today. But to say that the US did nothing while our troops stormed Normandy, and fought and died in the Pacific against the most unyielding force in the war, is to dishonor the 400,000 men who died for this country.
@Praetor, well america didnt help russia
@thedoingstuffguy, Actually, the US and UK sent aid to Russia, it just took a very long while because of all the Nazis in the way, and because, frankly, the US was more concerned with helping England than Russia.
@Praetor, yes but russians just needed time to develop better tanks and think more about their defensive positions. also, winter came and froze all the germans to death
@thedoingstuffguy, It comes down to the fact that no one really trusted Russia. It was actually considered by US and Britain to just let Russia fall, then move in and clean up afterwards.
@Praetor, i know russia must be mad lol *still cant believe the news about krim*
@thedoingstuffguy, History repeats, right? God, I hope not...
@Praetor, well then serbia, croatia, montenegro, bosnia, slovenia and macedonia would unite abd have an active military of 7 million like before. now THAT is unbelieveable
@Praetor, I do agree with you here, and although true that America didn't come into the war until pear harbour, America spead up the war to the end and guaranteed the allies victory but I believe this post is just going on about that America entered the war after Britain and France yet some Americans take almost all crefit for winning the second world war
@True Brit with Tea , it must have been the people at that time taking credit, because everyone in my AP US history and AP European history classes agree that winning WWII wasn't necessarily our doing. We take credit for defeating Japan, mostly.
@thedoingstuffguy, we were never really allies with Russia anyway, they didn't want help. U.S. and Russia had the "enemy of my enemy" thing going on.
@Delsin of Ravnefjell, Without the US, Germany would have beaten Russia...Stalin couldn't handle the might of nearly all of Hitler's forces crashing down on him...The US bringing the war to another front forced Germany to split their forces making them to weak to handle getting squeezed from both sides...As an APUSH student, you should know this
WWII as a bar fight! Aww yeah!
@Draco MaIfoy, I found two different ones. I'm trying to upload the second
@Obi Wang Kenobi, where was this for my world history class!!!
@Draco MaIfoy, I can't wait for the third one!
@Obi Wang Kenobi, we asked and you answered!!
@Draco MaIfoy, this is the most stupid satire I have ever read... Besides being totally wrong, we have 36 idiots who support this nonsense... Truly pathetic!
Once again Canada wasn't mentioned once... Unless of course they are considered to be part of Britain, as they were at the time.
@theEwok, common wealth
Does this remind anybody else of Hetalia?
I've been waiting for this, now cold war should come next!
@Greek Lightning, That'd be like an Internet argument. People threatening to do things but don't follow through.
Hate to be the a$$hole American, but if we hadn't joined the war, Germany would have taken control of Europe.
@Tromboner, russia would have beaten germany as well as it did
@thedoingstuffguy, Russia barely beat the Germans within it's borders, it did nothing to those across Europe.
@thedoingstuffguy, I think Russia would still have beaten Germany, but that's only because of their sheer size
@Tromboner, well thats my point. even Napoleon couldnt capture russia
@thedoingstuffguy, yep. Because they thought it would be a good idea to invade in the winter
@Tromboner, well the germans knew about the russian winters and the wanted to invade in the summer but the russians held them off for quite some time
@Tromboner, nah, it just would have taken longer and cost more lives. Don't get me wrong, the U.S. Joining the fight was a godsend but you seem to have a habit of being fashionably late to these parties.
And i would have gotten away with it if it weren't for you meddling countries!!!
@Germany, lolz i love this
I need more of these, they're just so perfect
@Beede, yes sir we do. the american revolution maybe?
I like it, ANOTHER
We were there...kinda
This took 5 uploads a day for a week to get on here
@Obi Wang Kenobi, 5 uploads a week? That's 27 less then my usual!
@ThumbsUpMan, who are you?
@Agent Upvote, I am ThumbsUpMan, FunnyPics nightly savior of downvotes. For when ever I see downvote trolls... I attack with a 1 thumb up fury!... Also I'm known as the Oprah of FunnyPics, you get an upvote, you get an upvote, YOU ALL get an upvote!
@Obi Wang Kenobi, nice name
@ThumbsUpMan, have you ever considered joining the upvote agency?
@Agent Upvote, keep it between us young man, but I'm actually the biggest endorser to the agency, giving nearly 22 billion upvotes a year.
@Obi Wan Canblowme, thanks. Your name is quite humorous as well
@ThumbsUpMan, you have 3992 ratings though...
@ThumbsUpMan, and look at me i am catching up!
@Agent Upvote, yeah I'm not on the app as often I use to be.
I'm glad someone actually made one for WWII
WWII in a nutshell
@erotic engineer, if you think that, you have a bigger problem in your head
Also I'm experiencing something where I can see this photo when I search for my name before it is on the recent upload tab
I like these. Witty and accurate
@Nagato Uzumaki, witty yes, accurate no.
This one was poorly done. I'd have mentioned America pulling out a gun, and Japan saying we don't have the balls to shoot, right before getting shot. Then japan says "you wont do that AGAIN." And then America does it again.
What does this make the bartender?
@retired hitman, Canada
And yet Canada is again forgotten
@Random thinker , no, she is the bartender
What about Italy, b!tch?
@Ewok612, Africa didn't really fight. They were a theater though.
@UK You know we saved your asses in bar fight II.
17 March 2014 #17March2014
More like America came in and gave every one brass knuckles helped then up have band aids and then finished all the fights everyone else started cause it believes it is a police officer
This was long as fvck, but i'm actually glad i stopped and read it all. Lol, Until Afghanistan walks into the bar...
Can somebody make more of these?
Next one should be about the Cold War, Vietnam War, or Korean War.
@GlennTheEnergizer, or american revolution
However if America had not been the leading producer of wartime necessities such as tanks and ships the allies would have fallen if we continued to do nothing we may not have had our young men fighting but we did supply Russia and Britain with the wartime goods to not be completely dominated
@onetimedeal, russia wouldnt have been completly dominated, she would do the same as she did before
Vietnam and Korea please
I will admit I don't quite like this bar fight as much as the other one. Google ww2 bar fight and look for the longer version. So much funnier
This was posted last week... Without a picture tho :/
And that children is how the fight started
This is just one of those days where I don't want to read long posts.
