I'm just glad they didn't pick HiPoint
@shocking60, or taurus
@Lie Ren Licks Taint, why does everyone hate Taurus? What did they do?
@buttspider, in short, they're cheaply made.
Sig Sauer ftw
@MrPuppersDoggo, I love my tac ops 1911.
@MrPuppersDoggo, RIP Beretta 92 you will be missed
@MrPuppersDoggo, sig insulted guns everywhere when they made you use an Alan wrench to strip an m1911
@MrPuppersDoggo, Glock for life
@Osama bin Dead, GLOCK!GLOCK!GLOCK!GLOCK!!
@jklyt1, you and I have a taste for the finer things in life
@Osama bin Dead, Glock 26 is the first/only gun I've ever owned, and after trying some of my friends pistols I'm super glad I chose the one I did. It has a ridiculous kick for a 9mm but I love it so much.
@jklyt1, good choice! I've owned 2 Glocks, a 23 Gen 4 and now a 21 Gen 3. Both have been perfect to say the least
@Osama bin Dead, nice, so you pretty good with guns? Thinking about getting an AR-15 at some point, curious if you've got any suggestions.
@jklyt1, you could say that lol. Absolutely! I just built my first AR-15 a year ago today. The first AR I had, I bought at a pawn shop. If you feel comfortable building one, there are hundreds upon hundreds of videos on youtube, I would build one. It is a way to build a rifle you want, while saving money and learning about your AR as you put it together. Start off with a 5.56 AR because of the ammo availability. Barrel wise, I would only recommend Faxon Firearms. They have very affordable barrels that are very accurate. Upper and lower receiver wise, Aero Precision. If you want one that is already put together, I'd try Smith and Wesson, Midway Industries, Core Rifle Systems, Daniel Defense (Expensive), etc. That's my two cents, need anything else, just ask away!
@Osama bin Dead, ayyy cool thanks man, will definitely look into building one then. I don't know how analogous it is but I built a gaming PC and it helped a lot with maintaining the computer and knowing how to fix problems. So if I can save money and learn I'll definitely build one lol
@jklyt1, oh yea, you can definitely build an AR if you've built a pc. It is a lot of fun too! There will be some tools you need to buy to put it together, but it's not much. Best of luck on your build!
@GunSupporter, I wanted to get that one but I opted for a P226 MK25TB
@The Gay Gatsby, mine sits above my head on the headboard
@The Gay Gatsby, you mean missing. Like in my gun safe at home 😂
@MrPuppersDoggo, ayyy I have one too
Whats the difference, don't they all shoot bullets?
@benderama, oh my sweet, naive child
@benderama, No no no it's shoots better bullets. I'm guessing
@MCPO S117, not naive or a child, just don't know anything about guns
@Lingroach , Sooo I'm guessing the inferior bullets must not penetrate flesh?
@ScarletSpider, I don't know, how about we try it on you and see how it goes?
@Lingroach , Only if we can put it on YouTube
@benderama, Dunno why you're being downvoted. In summary, trials for a new service pistol were based on several factors. Reliability, penetration, being able to easily field strip it, and so on. A lot of people who are fans of Glock got really pissed that their plastic gun with a terrible safety didn't get picked.
@Rtas Vadum, who needs a safety anyways. I didn't join the military to not shoot stuff
@benderama, don't get defensive. He was making a joke. Just look at it as choosing a car. You look for reliability, power, gas mileage, comfort, and so on. But there are also fanboys.
@Rtas Vadum, my wife is obsessed with Glocks. I see the upside to them, but they aren't always the answer.
@GunSupporter, CZ for life.
@Rtas Vadum, Terrible safety? What terrible safety? All the Glock's safety mechanisms are internal and/or actuated directly by the action of pulling the trigger. I'm other words, no pull trigger, gun no shoot. Sounds like a damn good safety mechanism to me. Now that being said, I love my Glocks and my Sigs, but personally prefer the slightly lower bore axis of my Glock handguns. My buddy on the other hand prefers the smoothness of the action of Sig handguns and therefore chooses them primarily. To each their own.
@GunSupporter, I found the fanboy
@benderama, its probably out of fashion.
@GunSupporter, actually nevermind he went on to explain they're both okay so idt fanboy
@Rtas Vadum, the Glocks safety is great, just take your finger off the trigger if you don't want to shoot, dumbhead
@goC4yourself, I personally prefer the palm and trigger combo safety like my xds. I'm also not in any fork of the service where I need to worry about things gumming up or draw time so much.
@GunSupporter, I had a buddy concealed carry an XDs for a while, up until we did a sporadic training day with the weapons on your person and his pistol dint function due to junk in the palm safety from carrying it. Granted that's a lack of maintenance, but it puts it out of the realm of reliability and ownership for me. I know plenty of people who swear by them though, and plenty of others who will talk down to me for my ownership of Canik or Taurus handguns along with my Glocks, Sigs, and S&Ws.
@BigJohnson86, after all the idiots I had to arm up and watch shoot at the range I'd prefer them to have some sort of safety...mostly for their safety so I don't have to shoot them for being dumbasses
@Daendrokos, and I'd prefer to shoot them cuz they're dumb
@Rtas Vadum, GLOOOOOOOOOOOCK!! Also they have a safety, but they don't have an external safety. Which, if it's life or death, is better.
@Rtas Vadum, yeah except sig put up a polymer gun sooooooo
@GunSupporter, I just picked up a Springfield XD mod 2 and friggin love it. Went shooting for the 4th of July, the thing handles amazing and is super easy to disassemble and clean
I'm happy I didn't know what this was about before reading the comments. Means I must've had better things to do.
Sig p320! Woo!....
I hate glocks cause they feel clunky to me and it felt super top heavy.
@local anarchist , all handguns tend to be top heavy
@Osama bin Dead, yea but some still seem to feel somewhat balanced. I like the Px4 for that reason
@local anarchist , just throw a loaded mag in a Glock and the balance gets better. I suppose we all have our personal preferences
@Osama bin Dead, yea i know some people that swear by the glock but ive always loved Beretta
@local anarchist , that would be me, Glock only. But there are still very other good firearm manufacturers. I like Glock for their simplicity, ergonomics, and reliability, just my preference
@local anarchist , my M92 saved my life, I will forever be a Beretta man.
