Well assuming it's some sort of virus and not magic you don't want to get any saliva or blood from the zombies into your body. The armor's not going to seal out fluids. Chain mail and armor aren't easy to move in either and take time to put on and take off. Also if a horde over runs you anyways what's your armor going to do for you there? Ensure you'll die like a sardine?
@M0RT0S, depends on how the virus or bacteria transmits. It if it's waterborne, sure. But if it's airborne or fungal, that changes things.
@Marida Cruz, still means a dead man. If it's fungal it gets real hot and sweaty in armor. If airborne, fúck it do whatever you'd like.
@M0RT0S, These posts always make me laugh. everyone in that thread will probably be some of the first to become zombies.
What world do you live in where bikes are 100% silent? Even well maintained bikes still make noise
@Pvt BB Ghanoush, less noise then cars though
@Pvt BB Ghanoush, yea i think their point is you still have to stay far enough away but with a car they'll hear it even from a distance.
@A Math Dealer, I mean yeah, one is literally powered by small explosions.
@Dick Gravatar, yeah but when food is scarce, you don't wanna bike everywhere
All you are going to do is succeed in becoming.a boss-level zombie for some other poor survivor.
Nah you want a farm powered by solar panels. Dig a trench and layer bottom of it with flammable material and periodically have a controlled burn by putting them in one spot by standing there and pouring your corn ethanol on them and having a victory cigar. Don’t allow other humans in without a strip search. Goodbois allowed at all times for companionship, alarm system and hunting abilities.
Like 100 zombies aren’t going to be able to rip it off when they overwhelm you
Until you remember that plate armor is heavy as fûck and cumbersome. Combine that with the weight of a zombie hoard and you’d be crushed to death long before you were eaten
This is all assuming that it is the undead style zombies of-course, if it was infection and mutation then there could be zombies that could easily get through the armour, for example a Tank for Left 4 Dead
Nah, metal armor isn’t the way to go. Cast thick plastic armor out of recycled goods. It’s lighter and quieter.
Just use an electric vehicle within 100 miles (for round trip) of base camp and charge the vehicle via renewable energy
