I don't care if it is not funny. This needs to be shared.
@butthole glitter, why
@butthole glitter, when you fart, does it look like pixie dust confetti?
@Drunk Pantless Uncle, ohh ya
@butthole glitter, as a black man, I disagree with one or more of those and no one can tell me otherwise. “Enlightened Leftists”
@Richard Cypher, because it’s true, but doesn’t fit the media narrative.
@Child Slapper, there's still a place for you in the diagram.
@jabopples, nope. I only believe bottom right and top left. I can’t fit.
"civic dusruptions?"? Depending on what that means.
You don't have a right to block traffic and essentially commit and act of false imprisonment.
You have the right to free speech. You do not have the right to force others to listen to you.
@RogueKnight, yes, but an act of civil disobedience is legitimate protest, that said, breaking the law in an act of civil disobedience requires an arrest and appropriate punishment.
Part of what makes civil disobedience a powerful form of protest is submitting to the rule of law willingly and without violence.
Furthermore, the law one breaks should be relevant to what is being protested. Consequently, not every thing that can be protested (in this case police brutality) has a correlating set of laws that can be broken.
Put another way, civil disobedience is most effective in protesting unjust laws. And as far as I know, there are no relevant laws one could peacefully break to oppose police brutality.
Well that was a bit dry and academic. Sorry if that was boring. Thanks for reading this far...
@Hot Coffee, that was a very valid post. And a great insight!
@RogueKnight, not my own, I learned it recently while talking with some friends, but I agree and certainly understand civil disobedience much better now. Though I still have no interest in participating in civil disobedience.
I see myself in this picture.... and it doesn’t make me feel better
@Canis Arktos, I don’t think this is meant to make you feel good or even better, I think it’s pushing against the false dichotomy that is being promoted that you’re either with the protesters and rioting or you’re a racist who advocates for police brutality.
@Hot Coffee, it’s so stupid just because u don’t support rioting and ppl acting like animals it doesn’t mean you’re racist and u support police brutality but lately it seems like if at any point u disagree with a black person on any issue it’s because you’re racist
@Hot Coffee, a common comment on this app is “I see myself in this picture and ...” they go on to say “I like it” or “I don’t like it”. I was playing off that. I was attempting to be funny. It’s funny pics. Even dark humor is humor.
@Canis Arktos, ah, sorry, was in serious mode when reading your comment. The humor whooshed over my head, queue Homer Simpson quote: D’oh!
@Hot Coffee, you are generous. I throw jokes out there and some of them land. This was... not my best. It’s ok. :-)
@Commander Peanuts, Definitely change that "should" to a "Must"
As far as the police system is structurally corrupt, I have to disagree. There are numerous times where bad actors lose their jobs only to get it back thanks to a suit brought by the unions. On top of that the places where we consistently keep seeing the worst offenses in abuse of power by cops is blue states in blue cities. Specifically, places with very far left policies. It should also be noted that these places don’t have police abusing their power against just blacks. It is just we mainly hear about those because the media can’t use the cases of white people being put down like they were sub-human to push their divisive talking points.
@ThatGuyx79, you're right. There was a case not even a year before Mr. Floyd where a white suspect died in police custody in nearly the same way. No media attention.
@ThatGuyx79, why is this getting down voted? It's the truth!!
We all need to be better
Missing one more bubble that says "Floyd was scum. He's committed multiple felonies, been in and out of prison, and put a gun to a pregnant woman's stomach and threatened to shoot. He was an evil POS"
@Kangaroo Jacked, huh. yeah its weird more people arent talking about that. probably a hard subject to broach without seeming biased. it still bears mentioning that the cop that killed him deserves to be in prison. floyd may have done terrible things, but i dont think a heinous criminal background for which he paid his debt to society justifies a cop crushing an unarmed mans neck until he died when he was obviously not a threat to anyone
@Hoban Washburne, yeah, the cop wasn't some psychic vigilante. Just some power tripping ass with a prior history of excessive force and brutality. Two people like that cross paths, it tends to end badly
@Kangaroo Jacked, it doesn't matter. What he was doing that day did not warrant a death sentence. He may not have been a good person. He did not deserve to die that day. Period.
I think saying it was murder is going too far. I do not believe there was any intent to kill Mr. Floyd. There was, however, extreme negligence on the part of the officer and he should be charged for that.
@RogueKnight, i think at the least, manslaughter
@Hoban Washburne, I'm not sure about Minnesota but most states require some sort of intent in order to charge murder. At the very least I think in this case intent would be hard to prove. And I honestly don't believe there was intent. Just a cop who made a very dumb decision despite what his partners were telling him.
@RogueKnight, i just looked it up and not only was he arrested 5 times but it even said that his autopsy showed he was under tge influence of methamphetamine at the time of his death.
Floyd definitely didn't deserve to die and police brutality is a big issue, i just wonder to myself if Black Lives Matter would ever march if a white individual with no criminal history was shot by police...
@The Inactive Account, no. They wouldn't. Because only black lives matter them. And even then, only those lives taken by police, not other blacks.
And saying that all lives matter is racist, somehow.
BLM is not a good group to have lead this. Are there race issues in this country that need to be resolved? Absolutely there are. But crying out for dead cops or a war on cops is not the right answer.
These comments are as ignorant as Facebook. Sad to see FP continue to spiral downhill.
I've avoided the comments for this reason but now it's just getting ridiculous.
Other than the garbage politics it's been great but of course you have to ruin it with ignorance.
That cop absolutely intended to kill him. BLM is not just a group, but a movement. Regardless of his history that's not what police are there for so that arguement is void. If you can see what has been going on the last few days and still hold your ignorant views then you and your lack of morals are part of the problem.
Typically when the comments get like this I leave to give things time to settle before coming back, but FP seems pretty overrun.
@MrPuffN5tuff, I've said this whole time that Mr Floyd did not deserve what happened to him. And the officer deserves to be behind bars. There is no reason to believe that he intended to kill Mr Floyd. In fact it would be very stupid to do soin front of so many people with cameras recording him.I could be wrong but my belief is it was gross negligence on the part of the officer. Enough so that criminal charges are warranted.
I think it's ignorant to claim the cop intended to kill Mr Floyd when there is no evidence of that fact. An accidental death and an intentional death can look the same. I've also maintained here that regardless of Mr Floyd's history he did nothing which warranted death on the day he died in police custody.
Why do only black lives matter? Every human life matters. But apparently that is racist to say. I am legitimately confused by this and no one has been able to explain it to me. If you are able to shed light on this for me I would appreciate it.
@MrPuffN5tuff, we actually agree on a couple points but you are criticizing me as if I don't.
I'm exactly there, and I am prejudice towards everyone who isnt in there with me
Can I be outside the bottom right and say all looters deserve summary execution on the spot?
I think most of us are, silent majority at its finest.
Where on the diagram would someone go if they indiscrimately sprayed liquid ass in every one of these demographics equally?
I mean where’s the lie?
this is stilly pretty biased
It's..... It's me!
No thank you
I want to know whats in the other parts. Like Chaotic/Neutral, Lawful/Evil, Chaotic/Good
