Look at it from YouTube's perspective. They've changed it from celebrating creators to showcasing the advertisement opportunities of the platform. It's not about the creators anymore, it's about the companies. It's an ad for YouTube.
@BigChungus, and that's exactly what's wrong
@18bluecat, yeah, I agree. But YouTube is still a company and their first priority is making money.
@BigChungus, I agree but company image is important too. And with the image YouTube is creating... well nobody can be competition for YouTube but if anybody could, people may switch
@BigChungus, but...but...the customer is always right.
@Mawaneu, the customers are the advertisers who want to run ads on the platform.
@BigChungus, ...but what about meeeeee?!
@BigChungus, and if they had any brain cells left, they would have realized before they did that that making content for investors instead of consumers is why so many entertainment companies are losing money right now.
@BigChungus, *It’s an end for YouTube.
@BigChungus, Did you take that name from the meme of the big dude in women's clothes in a video game, or was that actually you???
@Winter Diablo, yeah, I was so inspired and awe-struck by the genius of it that I had to take it.
@BigChungus, I've also thought of using it in other places. It's so good
@BigChungus, advertisers are important but the advertisements are obsolete if nobody is there to watch them
Yeah, I don’t know if adding pewdiepie woulda fixed whatever it was supposed to be
@Penn State BeerMan, I think Pewdiepie is just an easier way than saying "actual famous youtubers"
To be fair. Fortnite was huge for youtube and although its dislikes it probably deserves to be in there. Everything else can burn.... except Will Smith.
Fortnite was the biggest game of the year and made some small youtubers big. It deserves to be in rewind. But ya the rest was trash
But pewdiepie sucks
Has YouTube made an official comment on the rewind yet?
Basically lasts years but with fortnite
