Actually, IF I remember correctly (which I usually forget most everything so I could be wrong), dogs can, in some form, be racist. A dog spends its entire life around one race and not another will avoid other races because of fear and uncertainty. If a white family were to raise a dog, and it were never to be exposed to a person of color, its completely possible that its first encounter with someone of color could incite fear, uncertainty, or even possibly aggression in the dog. And the same goes for a family of color raising a dog. This is why (especially if you want a working dog or service dog) you should expose your dog to as many types of people, environments, and sounds you can around the 3-4 to 12 week period. on No racist dogs (Upvotes: 14)
