@fhdhs, I'm guessing some sort of skink. It's hard to know the particular species without knowing where it was found or seeing its back. on No evolution here (Upvotes: 2)
@Petersquatch, I definetly wouldn't recommend anything from the nhandu genus as they're known to be testy and often threaten, which is definitely intimidating. If you were talking about Acanthoscurria geniculata, they're fairly aggressive. Wild caught anything is going to be defensive, since they've had to survive in the wild. Arizona blondes (Aphonopelma chalcodes) are great for beginners (I've got one and she's a sweetheart). Curly hairs and pink toes are good too, but less pretty. If you're going to raise a sling, Mexican golden red rumps (Brachypelma albiceps) can be great, they're just a little hard to find. Same with pink zebra beauties (Eupalaestrus campestratus). There's lots of others that aren't as pretty. As long as you stick to a new world terrestrial and read about the specific species temperament and bite, you should be fine. You should also try to stick with scientific names when talking about tarantulas since many species look similar :) on Funny Pics (Upvotes: 2)
@Tentastic, Yep, or if they're anything like our buns, be the one to feed them or give them treats when you hang out with them. Anything that gets them to associate you with positive things! on Funny Pics (Upvotes: 2)
@megamanx181x, They've been extinct in the wild for a few years now. Since 2018 I think? It's still sad to think about :( on blue macaw parrot (Upvotes: 2)
