@Murderous Milkman, the United Kingdom recently had an election. Now, the way that they do it over there is that when there's a parliamentary general election, you're not really voting for the Prime Minister, you're voting for your local representative who belongs to a party to represent you in Parliament. The party with the most members of Parliament (MP's) gets to form the government and the leader of that party becomes the Prime Minister. Now, Britain is split into 650 constituencies, so that means 650 MP's. This one constituency had their MP belong to the Liberal Democrat party by only 2 votes. Had those two other people voted for the Labour party, that would've meant that they would've been represented by a Labour MP and that would also mean that the Labour party (at this point the official opposition) would have an even stronger hold in Parliament. on Funny Pics (Upvotes: 19)
