Had to share somewhere, why not here.. Got off work from a 10hr shift working all day in a hot attic (HVAC work in the south) decide to stop by circle k on the way home to get a couple tall boys (beers) and the clerk tells me "sorry, we can't sell liquor after 7." Me: well this is beer. Clerk: it don't matter we can't sell alcohol after 7. Me: is this new store policy? It's only 9:05.. Clerk: No it's law we can't sell alcohol between 4am and 7 am. Me: it's 9:05 pm. Clerk: yeah I know it's after 7... Me: if it's law how is the liquor store across the street still open and full of people? Clerk: I don't know they probably gonna get shut down. Me: but it is not between 4am and 7am you just said it's 9:05 pm...? Clerk: EXACTLY I JUST TOLD YOU IT'S AFTER 7AM!!!!! Me: ok fvck it, I'll just go over there. @Sexy Homunculus, when I walked into the circle k there was a guy politely arguing with same clerk, I didn't pay attention, just went to the cooler for my tall boys, about the time I got in line, I saw him throw his hands up basically saying fvck it also. Get to register, my above scenario happened. I again asked the clerk if this is law, "why is the liquor store over there buzzing with business??" Big dude behind me in line pops off "they buzzing with business cause this dumb b!tch don't know how to tell time!" I laughed and was walking out when I heard her say "no it's law!" Next thing I'm In line at aforementioned liquor store across the street, right behind the guy i saw walk out in front of me earlier he said he spent several minutes trying to explain to her the difference between am and PM as far as time, she couldn't grasp it..the liquor store clerk laughed his a$$ off on Funny Pics (Upvotes: 15)
